[Bucky has known for a while now.

Not that long, not in the grand scope of his life. When he was young, he never felt anything. No soulmate out there. No other half to his to make him whole. When people talked about feeling the emotions, the ups and downs of someone waiting for them out there, someone they'd yet to meet, it had never connected. Then there'd been HYDRA, the Winter Soldier, and there'd been nothing still. For the better, really. He wouldn't wish feeling that on anyone.

When it did happen, when someone had appeared, HYDRA had put a stop to it. Wiped him. Re-conditioned him. Forced him suppress that connection until he forgot it had even been there.

It wasn't until he was free and on the run that he started to feel something. In fits and starts at first, he'd gotten a sense of someone out there. He'd shied from the sense. Hadn't even known what to do with the feeling when he realized it was there. He'd never mistaken it for himself—that would have been impossible—but honestly at first he'd just figured he was going crazy. More crazy.

In Wakanda, he'd finally realized what it was. His mind was suddenly relatively whole and he'd known then that his soulmate existed. Wildly, fifty years or more later than they ought to have been born, it was about the most fucked up miracle that ever existed. He figured then, who wanted to be saddled with a hundred year old assassin and war criminal.

He'd had an idea after fighting Thanos that it had to be someone involved. He'd felt his soulmate then, their feelings so closely mirroring his own.

But it wasn't until Steve gave Sam the shield that he knew.

He'd known, and he hid from it.

Now in Delacroix, beer in hand and the sun slanting off the water, Bucky can't hide from it anymore. With Sam's feelings buzzing warm and satisfied in the back of his head after a long day of work, after watching his friends and his neighbors turn out to support him, Bucky can't pretend he doesn't realize the bond is there between them. And he can't pretend that he's mad about it, either.

None of that means he's sure what to do with that knowledge, but for the first time he realizes that he's going to have to do something. That he wants to do something.]

That's a lot of work for one day.

-Molly's literally not a fighter, she's a support character. WHY do I like this idea: Each year at a certain age, soulmates are paired together into some sort of battle royal thing, best OTP wins

- at the age of sixteen, everyone goes into another world for two years, hanging out with their soulmate. Time is warped to make sure the two of you are sixteen in this world. When the two years are up, you’re sent back into the real world, with fractured memories of what happened. These foggy memories make it hard to find them again. (Numbers can be changed.)

-Mysterious letter detailing to one person when they’ll meet, and another letter detailing where they’ll meet to their soulmate, but not both (Person A gets when they’ll meet, Person B gets where they’ll meet)

-If you haven’t met your soulmate but have been in the same vicinity of each other (like passing each other on a street or in the same building), that day will keep repeating until you find each other
