[ The Doctor wished he could say he wasn't normally in the habit of breaking into stranger's cars, but this was far from the first time he'd had to play stowaway to escape from less than favorable situations. Like now, when he had spent a good part of the evening trying to escape from a compound filled with quite a lot of angry, armed people. Getting caught sneaking into the compound at the same time several dead bodies were found probably didn't help him make many friends, either.

It was almost funny how getting in never seemed to be as much trouble as getting out.

Well. It probably would have been a little funnier if he wasn't currently stuffed in the foot space of the backseat of a car heading away from the compound. He was surprised his plan had managed to work this well so far-- not that he was complaining, of course. ]

[ He's waiting for her outside the apartment he gave her access to some months back, the one with the original 1951 Bösendorfer grand piano, his "friend's" place when in reality it used to be the home of a prominent traitor to his country whose estate the Secret Service took over after Fox killed him, point blank, very little blood. He thought it'd be a shame just leaving the piano untouched when she'd make better use of the instrument than Mr. Wright ever did. Traitor hands don't deserve to play Schumann, if you ask him. So far, Secret Service hasn't asked any questions, meaning they either forgive and forget or don't keep too close tabs on the place. Fox doesn't really care which one it is.

Although it's a non-smoking area, he's busy lighting a cigarette as he hears the tell-tale sound of her feet ascending the stairs, echoing between the walls of the stairwell. He's been by a few times she's played, undetected by her, he thinks, and on a whim he decided he was going to keep her company today. Be a little less of a stalking creep for once. It's difficult, things like that become habit, but he can give it his best shot, yes?

When she appears at the end of the staircase, he looks up, raising an eyebrow at her, leaning against the wall next to the front door. ]

[never does the hero expect to be here, heading down the elevator of tartarus' most heinous of villains. two guards ride in the elevator with him, one of his handler's behind him, holding the vanilla folder of his latest order.

rather, the order decided of him by the hero public safety commission and the number one hero.

he argued before that he had work he could focus on, that he can help in other ways, but both his handlers and endeavor agreed that without his precious wings on his back, he could very well be useful here. after all, he was the one person who knew this villain thoroughly.

endeavor had begged in a way that keigo never has seen before, having taken both of his hands and asked earnestly for his eldest to be saved.

keigo didn't want to think though. didn't want to go back to that time where he once opened his arms and heart and body to this villain, only for it to fail on him. he was no longer a hero, and the result is by the very same villain he's supposed to reform. his handlers wouldn't let him refuse endeavor, practically dragged him to tartarus themselves.

but, how can he hope to help here when he's so lost and unsure of what transpired? it haunts him, all day and night. there was a time he would beg for this, before that fateful battle, before keigo was forced to kill and have his wings burned from his back.

it's not like before though. things have changed.

as the elevator stops, all four leave it, and keigo follows behind one of the guards. the closed doors don't keep down the noisy criminals and villains, but the fallen hero ignores the shouts and laughs, focuses only on looking ahead. it's only a few minutes of silent walking before they stop.

keigo is silent as both his handler and the guards speak, informing that the villain is secured and without his quirk. that hawks would be safe by himself. keigo resists the urge to roll his eyes. he wouldn't have to worry about that if he still had his wings, he thinks sourly.

holding back a sound of displeasure, keigo barely pays attention to his handler instructing him, looks away with a bored, distasteful expression until he waves off the man and motions for the guard to open the door. more chastising from his handler, but thankfully the door is opened and keigo can slip inside, shutting the door behind him. he knows they'll listen. had to be careful, and all.

ignoring how bright and well-lit the room is, golden eyes immediately seek out the villain in the room, and it takes everything within keigo to not react to the buildup of emotions within him.]
