The Blind Date meme. Pretty self-explanatory. No matter how awkward and unexpected they might be, there is always something exciting about them. Who is your company for the evening going to be? Will it be a person of your innermost dreams or someone you absolutely can't stand? And most importantly...
 

How are you going to handle it?

What do:
1. Post with your character! They're now in the middle of a blind date.
2. Comment to each other! When you do that...

First date

-- You've never been out on a date before, so someone's decided to give you a helping hand.
2.

On the rebound

-- You're recovering from a painful breakup, but your friends/family think they found a great person for you anyway.

Not strangers at all

-- Someone thought you didn't know your date. Turns out you know them from somewhere.
4.

Hideously awkward

-- Hey wait, that's your ex/boss/doctor/distant family member! Or, even worse, it's that person you absolutely despise. This will go well!
5.

Existing partner

-- You two are just acting like strangers to spice up your love life.
6.

Future spouse

-- Unfortunately, you have to have an arranged marriage. Fortunately, you get to meet that special someone for a date beforehand. How will the night go?
7. ...or, instead of rolling, come up with your own scenario!

4. Play out the date. This meme can be completely fluffy, smutty, or hilarious. If you don't want smut, you can put that in your subject. It doesn't even have to be romantic.

[Bucky isn't so sure what to expect of this date. He doesn't know Thor all that well. Sure, they've been in about two battles together and that counts for something, and both know Steve which counts for something else, but that doesn't mean he understands the guy.

He shows up at the bar a few minutes late and shakes off the rain, glancing around the tap room for whoever it is he's supposed to be meeting. It's his first time in New Asgard, and there are aliens mixed in with humans and—presumably—gods.

[ The thing about blind dates is that Midnighter is never really blind. You could put him in a room with a hundred strangers and he'd instantly start rolling the odds, calculating exactly everything he needs to know about every single one of them. Blind implies there's going to be some element of surprise. Nope. The fucking Midnighter is never surprised.

But still: this is fun. This is human, in the cheesiest (and best) way possible. This space station is possibly the most boring space station he's been on (despite the promising name of 'The Citadel' which by all rights should be a supervillain's lair judging by its name alone) but a little company could change all that. The mutual friend who'd put him up to this - mostly out of exasperation - had promised 'he's a normal kind of guy, you could do with some normal in your life'.

Except... when M spots the dark-haired guy waiting at the restaurant table, he instantly realises how wrong that was. No, this Kaidan guy isn't normal. There's electrical activity in his brain that suggests that he's completely the opposite of normal in exactly the same way Midnighter isn't normal.

Brain implants. Neat.

Intrigued, Midnighter cuts through the restaurant and makes his way to the table. He's a tall guy, standing at over six foot something, and dressed somewhere between 'hipster' and 'out of place punk': button-up shirt, skinny tie, shaved head, military boots. It's a Look. ]

Kaidan, right? [ It's a rhetorical question, M knows exactly who he is. He flashes a rough smile and takes a seat. ] Guess I'm your date for the night.
