Comment with your character, preferences, preferred role, and any information you'd like to include.
Your character has either been injured/sick and had to be taken in (possibly against their will) or has been the one to help somebody like the former. Through the mending process, the two characters in a thread have fallen in love - or at least grown closer and more affectionate.
[Phoenix ended up with much worse than just a cold after falling through the bridge.
In a twist of fate (what Phoenix would call it) or the inevitable (what his doctors called it), the impact of the water and rocks slammed into his stomach, uprooting the crystal container and gold chain he’d swallowed years ago and tearing them through his stomach lining. Not only that, but the crystal broke open, releasing what remained of the deadly poison that had nearly killed Diego Armando years earlier, luckily weakened with age but not inert entirely. Phoenix needed two surgeries and was on life support the night Mikes arrived. Of course he insisted on helping Iris Fey’s defense as soon as he woke up, and against his doctors’ strenuous objections, he used a small pharmacy’s worth of drugs to keep him going long enough to get Iris found innocent, confront the literal ghost of his ex, and see to it that Maya was safe. As soon as the trial ended, he passed out and popped several stitches.
So now his doctors insist on a quote unquote ‘responsible adult’ volunteering to help take care of him if they’re going to release him from the hospital, and to Phoenix’s surprise, Miles is the one who volunteers.]
You don’t have to do this, Miles. [Phoenix is settled into the passenger side of Miles’ car, helped there by nurses. He’s finally in his own clothes, and he has a lap full of the medication he’s supposed to use to maintain his stitches, avoid infections, and manage pain. Under his sweatshirt, the stitches lining his stomach are dressed neatly.] I thought you still have all this work in Germany?
[You can drop him off at his place. He won’t take terrible care of himself and need a third hospital stay. Honest.]
Jobs sometimes go sideways, it's just the rule of the game. No matter how meticulous Kaz is about things, even he can't predict every aspect of a heist. Sometimes injuries happen. Jesper can genuinely say, Kaz is probably the best at coming out at least mostly unscathed, but everyone's luck runs out eventually.
Dime Lions ruined everything on what should have been a straightforward and relatively simple job. One thing lead to another and Jesper isn't sure what exactly Kaz caught the wrong end of, but he knows that was a lot of blood
Now, they're just getting back to The Slat and despite any potential complaints from him, Jesper follows Kaz upstairs to his room, shutting the door when they're inside. "I'm not leaving til you let me look at it." He says, folding his arms over his chest.
[He carries a bowl of water to the bedside and balances it in his lap once he is seated. After dipping a towel into the liquid, he turns and starts to clean up his messy - messy - soulmate. Zishu's lips tighten, his concern making his features sickly pale, but how can he complain? His body is filled with nails, barely holding his meridians together. Between the two of them, thus far, Kexing has been less rash.]
