Who wouldn't want to have a maid or a butler, if even for a day? It would be incredible to have someone taking care of your every need, your every whim, and be loyal to you. Well, you've lucked out; you have your own servant! But what if that whole "taking care of your every need" concept went even further?

Instead of just tucking you into bed, you have a maid or butler who'll go to bed with you and not only to give you someone to cuddle with. After all, it is their life's work to serve you.

ROLEPLAY: This isn't really a business transaction. You're both playing pretend.

Kaz has gotten used to working without her by his side, building an empire that preys on the wicked as much as the pigeons with more money than sense. He's not a good man, never that, but for her- For Inej, he tries to be better. It's almost intoxicating to work a con with her, running a job to find out more about the latest fool who thinks to start an enterprise based on slavery. For once, she's the face of the operation instead of the knife in the shadows. No one in the casino pays attention to her servant, not when they can look upon someone beautiful. She's an heiress, traveling for a year before settling down. He's her butler, dressed to bore people into looking elsewhere. Bore them enough that no one will pay attention to the scars on his knuckles or the slight limp as he brings her whatever she demands even though there are plenty of waitstaff around to do her bidding.

No one else knows her preferences, after all. And what can one do except cater to such a woman? No one raises an eyebrow and it gives Kaz the excuse he needs to case the back rooms.

He has to keep his eyes from wandering towards Inej more than once. Eyes on the prize, he reminds himself, this is for her as much as you. One less source of indentures in Ketterdam, one less slaver on the seas for the Wraith.

In the hotel suite, once they're safe behind locked doors and free from the watching eyes he lets his shoulders relax slightly, takes off the gloves he wears for everyone but her. But he doesn't drop the voice of the butler as he knocks on the doorframe. "Does milady need me to draw her a bath?" The words, meant to be sardonic, are perhaps a bit more earnest than intended. She looks good like this, like a queen. It makes him-
