To define the goblin as a 'special person' in his life was a complicated thing. Yes, he was special but the association wasn't always positive - he imagined more so for Kim Shin than for himself. Then again, nowhere said that special had to be a good thing. To him, Kim Shin was someone who had defined so much of himself. His anger, his jealous, his hatred. All things he wished to conquer and failed horribly.

Now that he knew who he was and who Kim Shin was to him, it had really changed how they were together. That ease of not knowing was gone, replaced with this unsettling doubt. How did he talk to him? The man he had wronged more than anyone. Was death the only way this could end?

Even with that uncertain energy that loomed over them, he found himself unable to walk away from him. The memories lingered, each one painful but motivating. No one had meant more than Kim Shin. He remembered him clearly above all else, he remembered the way he had looked at him through his life, the way they had been in the absents of these unwanted memories. Kim Shin was special.

Perhaps that was why he was following him. Not as subtly as he wanted to either - it was quite obvious that he was following him. He just didn't know what else to do with himself now he knew who he was. He never wanted to be Wang Yeo, he never wanted to hurt Kim Shin and now he was completely lost. The one thing he could get that was close to salvation was to be close to Kim Shin again. He just wanted forgiveness, even if he couldn't have it. Even if it was wrong to want it.

Fate - and the gods - had seen to it that these two would be reunited in a terrible twist of bad humor. They decided a century of suffering wasn't enough for the goblin, no. They had to go and dump the dummy who caused all of it back into his life. Of course. To say he was frustrated would be an understatement.

He knew the reaper was tailing him. He just didn't want to put up with it right now.

Making his way through the streets of Seoul, he was sure the idiot behind him trying to look nonchalant stuck out like a sore thumb because subtlety was not at all his strong suit. Especially not when he kept ducking behind objects to try to hide himself like that. Did he really think nobody could see him? Maybe he should have worn his stupid hat and then nobody really could see him. Except, his sister. Somehow she always knew exactly where that idiot was, it was uncanny.

His sister. Now that he knew who she was, too, he felt a pang of sadness in his heart. All those times she'd teasingly called him oraboni suddenly meant a lot more to him. Damn this stupid reaper. Damn him for kissing her and giving her back all her memories, too. Things were so much simpler before he started doing stupid things.

Jesper is ambivalent about the dark. Sometimes it's good, because it provides cover for the less than savory things he and his friends get up to during the darker hours of a day; others, it's unnerving, because who knows what might be lurking in those shadows.

Tonight, he's neither comforted nor distressed by it, he's simply... there. Perched by what had earlier been quite an impressive fire, which has since dimmed to nothing but a few bright red embers, producing no light or heat worth anything.

He draws a vaguely defined shape in the dirt with his finger, not paying any mind to whether he's got company or not.
