What better time than these cool, crisp mornings or rapidly lengthening nights to jump right under a warm blanket with that irreplaceable person in your life? Even if you're not sleeping together - heck, even if you've not been straight with your feelings and you're not officially an "item" - there's nothing wrong with cuddling up. Grab a book, get some hot cocoa, turn on the TV (if you're in an era where the tube's available), or just enjoy each other's presence on the couch or in the bed.

[ i'm super okay with the suggestion of them taking a break and just relaxing together, if you still would like to go with that one! ]

[With his exercise routines done in the morning and a completely free afternoon, Arthur had no idea what to do with himself. Hoping he'd find an answer to what he was supposed to do outside, he went through the outdoor mall at the end of town. He left with two full bags full of clothes and shoes he'd probably never wear all because the store owners had been nice to him, saying they recognized him from UA events.

He sat down on a nice, comfortable couch in a cafe on the outside of the market with hot chocolate and his bags, watching a hero drama the owner had put on. No one had wandered in for a while, all while Arthur began drifting off to sleep with his hot chocolate beginning to tip at a very dangerous angle.]

[ unlike Arthur, Mina always had a lot she wanted to do, just never enough time to do it. School and Hero classes kept her busy, training made her sore a lot, and she ended up not having a lot of free time to just wander around town, window shopping and trying new cute cafés with delicious pastries. When she finally does have time, none of her friends are available; it's boring to go alone, but she really wanted to buy new boots and thus Mina ends up going to town on her own.

When her shopping is done - she bought a lot more than just boots in the end -, she decided to stop by at the cute coffee shop she heard about, only to end up spotting Arthur sitting at one of the couches. Just in time to save his chocolate! Mina quickly reaches for it, grabbing the cup before it falls, and with her other hand she pokes Arthur's forehead ]

careful there-

[Arthur had been drifting for a while, reaching the dangerous point where he thought it would have been to let his eyes shut for just a while.

'Careful there--']

I-I'm okay!? [His exclamation came out halfway through as a question. Arthur snapped awake, his hands fumbling for the drink Mina had already caught. He glanced up just in time to blink reflexively when Mina poked his forehead. Following Mina's arm to the cup of cocoa he'd ordered, Arthur's face went red and the best he could manage in response had been a half-mumbled thanks in a small voice and an expression that read 'I'd like to crawl under something'.]

T-Thank you.

[ Mina immediately snorts, holding her mouth while she tries not to laugh loud. She does a good job at it, grinning wide after while he carefully waves Arthur's cup ]

You look tired! [ or bored. Mina gives him the cup back, and unceremoniously, she sits next to him and tries to look at his phone. Shame? What is that? ] You should probably watch something better if this isn't keeping you awake.

Ah, thank you, Ashido-san. [Arthur switched his phone to selfie mode so he could look at his face, taking his cocoa with his other hand. He inspected himself in the camera. He could see what Mina saw and it didn't bother him at all. That was normal. He tended to carry eye drops with him to deal with it, after all. Hints of bags under his eyes and his sclera had been a little black from stress. It was his body's way of showing exhaustion.

He envied Mina's well of energy. He'd never once seen her droopy-eyed or slouching.]

I've been trying to watch this show for a few days now but I can't get past the second episode. If I sit down to watch it, I just end up falling asleep.

[ Mina places her shopping bags down besides their table, glancing back at him ] Aah? Is training being too hard to you, Arthur?

[ Mina has indeed tons of energy to spare, but that means at the end of the day, she ends up being very tired too. Nothing like a few hours of sleep don't heal but... well, it seems like that isn't enough for Arthur ]

Why don't you try to rest and watch after? Unless you are afraid you will sleep for a whole day straight? [ she teases, leaning against him a little playfully ]

Hah! Maybe? I've always been pretty lousy at planning ahead. I'd definitely miss a whole day if I didn't stick to the schedule.

[Certainly not his schedule. He didn't write it. The 'Fairweather' family let their secretaries do that. Arthur wasn't any different, even if he felt guilty.

Arthur reached down to set his drink down on the table, slipping his phone into his pocket. Just getting a glance at a dozen texts from his sister added another layer to his exhaustion.

His expression lightened a little more at the gentle teasing, relieved. He wasn't the best upperclassman but he wanted to at least be amicable. For a moment, he glanced at Mina's bags, curious, then tilted his chin at them.]

Are you taking a break too, Mina? I hope exams weren't too rough on you. [But, who was he kidding? She was in Eraserhead's class.]

eehh? Well, missing a day isn't bad! [ missing a day, or several. That's why Mina doesn't study, because she basically just never plans her day and does whatever she wants. Please don't use her as an example, Arthur. ]

Ah- I still haven't started studying! [ and she says that very cheerfully too ] I decided to go shopping instead! look, look- [ she reaches for a bag, to pull out a jacket ] Isn't it cute???

Really? Maybe I could take a day... [Half a day. A couple hours. Ten minutes. He'd take an extra ten minutes and that could be 'like' a day. Mina was convincing right up until she admitted she hadn't studied. Arthur reached up nudged his head against Mina's lightly, the most gentle form of reproach he could think of.]

It's super cool! That design is really rad! But! [Okay, so he was staring at it. God, be a little brave, he told himself.]

You need to study!

[ Mina welcomes the nudge, not really bothered by contact, smiling wide... and then her smile drops a little. She does wave her hand dismissively, before she laughs ] I'm gonna cram with Yaomomo later! She's super nice and explains stuff really well, so it'll be okay!

[ she will probably be yet again at the bottom of her class, but Mina really is not the best student. She is great with technique and actual hero work, but actual school subjects? really hard for her! ] If you want, you can join~

After you rest a bit.

[Just as quickly as it came, Arthur's reproachfulness went away. He knew Yaoyorozu studied hard and besides--any hope of keeping up the upperclassman seriousness flew out the window the second Mina stopped smiling. He regretted it, though he still tried to sound like it was hard to placate him.]

Yaoyorozu? I guess I can let you off the hook and... well, I guess it wouldn't hurt if I did a little group study. Cath [His cat. He's sent Mina dozens of pictures of him by then.] usually wants to get my attention, so I just end up distracted at home. So, maybe I should get out...

[Arthur rested his head against Mina's, glancing out the window of the shop. It was the middle of the afternoon.]

But, any suggestions? If I fall asleep now, you'll be stuck with me for a bit.

[ even if Mina is an airhead and goofily laughs at her bad grades, she does get worried about them. She doesn't want to fail or be expelled, and though most have been patient with her, she kinda realizing studying isn't... really her thing. At all. She is great at the physical part, not really great at theory.

She smiles wide again once Arthur brings up his cat ] Yeah! You should bring him, I will give him tons of attention! [ mina, no, this was meant to be a group study, not babysitting arthur's cat.

But her wide grins softens, looking back at him ] Hm~ well, I guess I got no choice but to stay then, and lend you my shoulder for a bit!

Well... [He tried to pretend to think a while on it but even before she asked, Arthur already knew he'd be bringing Cath. He hadn't planned on bringing anything else, anyway. Arthur didn't have the presence of mind to teach anyone but he could be excellent moral support. Cath would still be better than him at that, though.]

I don't think I could say 'no' to that--especially since you're so excited.

[He'd been drifting off bit by bit, then.] But, you'll do fine, right, Mina? After all, you got your provisional license in just one... go...

[Just like that, his lights dimmed and Arthur was out.]

[ he sticks her tongue out at him, grinning after. She IS excited, she loves animals, and would love to meet Arthur's cat too. ]

Hm-mm! I will, for sure. I'm a gonna be a great hero. [ she is not competitive like Bakugou, and she doesn't want to be at the top charts. She wants to help others and that is it. To her, that's what a great hero is.

And Arthur looks like he needs help too.

As he falls asleep, Mina smiles and reaches for his head, so she can carefully move herself and just let him lay down on her lap. She will try not to wake him up during this, too -

she knows he probably will want to wake up soon, so she will do so in an hour. For now, Arthur can rest ]

i am not terribly familiar with the seven deadly sins (read a bit, but never got to arthur sadly!!), but since you knows mha, i think getting Arthur into the setting has been a lot of fun with the threads we have been doing! Some perhaps more of that? Unless you want to revamp the whole thing, I'm fine with that too! ]

i really prefer arthur inserted as an au (story of his life??) as he is a colossal cinnamon roll. so, i'd be happy doing the mha au! |D mina's enthusiasm is exactly perfect for him, esp. Speaking of which, I hadn't thought of a quirk for him until a quick reread the other day. He could have a quirk like Taskmaster from Marvel that lets him read and copy any action he sees? It would match one of his canon abilities near perfectly too)]
