What better time than these cool, crisp mornings or rapidly lengthening nights to jump right under a warm blanket with that irreplaceable person in your life? Even if you're not sleeping together - heck, even if you've not been straight with your feelings and you're not officially an "item" - there's nothing wrong with cuddling up. Grab a book, get some hot cocoa, turn on the TV (if you're in an era where the tube's available), or just enjoy each other's presence on the couch or in the bed.

Now, for Wylan changed had brought him away from certain death, of the spirit so to speak because being with his father and around his crowd had nearly crushed him into a fine dust. A very expensive fine dust, of course, but nonetheless. "I know," he breathed out, heart sinking just a little. He hadn't known them as long and he couldn't share the pain the same but it still troubled him. "But we survived, Jes. And Nina ... we can visit her. Inej won't be gone forever. I have a feeling something will bring her back." A certain pull she wouldn't be able to deny. He knew this because he experienced the same, just for a different person, obviously. "I wish - things had been different. Matthias..." He trailed off, not really knowing what to say.

His head nodded, slow but deliberate. "Let's try it." Had he ever cuddled with anyone before? Not really at all. But it didn't seem to really take a certain kind of skill level. "Um - how do you want to....." He trailed off, rubbing at the back of his neck. Okay, maybe it did have SOME complication to it.

"Yeah, maybe..." He mumbles at the comment about Nina. But it's Inej that has his voice catching. "What if she doesn't?" She's the one, besides Kaz, that's been around the longest, and it's honestly a little like a piece of him is going to be torn out to watch her sail away.

He can't help the half-smile the endearing awkwardness from the other boy brings to his lips. "Just come here," he mumbles as he grabs a fistful of Wylan's shirt and tugs him down. Once he's settled, Jesper shifts a little, curling easily into him, head on his chest with his ear pressed to listen to the soft thrum of his heartbeat. He loops an arm loosely around Wylan's waist, easily escapable if he really wanted to. Jesper hopes he doesn't.

Jason's gaze rakes over Tim...'s hidey-hole, then back up to his face. He flicks at a piece of hair on the other man's forehead before he pulls that hand away, though he wonders if he should. Just how much contact does Tim need to feel okay? So far he doesn't seem too bad.

"Look, if you need anything else just tell me. Otherwise I'll just..." he shifts uncomfortably, finally sitting down on the floor in front of Tim. Is he supposed to get Tim to try and move to his bed? He doesn't know.

[Dimitri picks up his own towel, then reaches out to take Jean's hand. He wants to walk out to the beach with her hand entwined with his.]

[ All semblance of control goes out the window the moment he clutches his arm. Fear snakes its way in, coiling around him, as he closes the distance to touch his arm. His eyes glow blue, dipping into his well of grace, and presses that power into him to counteract the stain of original sin. ]

[When Cas touches him, starts flooding him with Grace, the Mark recoils and screams inside him. It wants Dean to pull away and lash out. Dean fights it, lets Cas's Grace in until the Mark retreats and he's left gasping and trembling, he sinks back against the mattress and feels his eyes water and spill over from the intensity.]

[ i'm super okay with the suggestion of them taking a break and just relaxing together, if you still would like to go with that one! ]

[With his exercise routines done in the morning and a completely free afternoon, Arthur had no idea what to do with himself. Hoping he'd find an answer to what he was supposed to do outside, he went through the outdoor mall at the end of town. He left with two full bags full of clothes and shoes he'd probably never wear all because the store owners had been nice to him, saying they recognized him from UA events.

He sat down on a nice, comfortable couch in a cafe on the outside of the market with hot chocolate and his bags, watching a hero drama the owner had put on. No one had wandered in for a while, all while Arthur began drifting off to sleep with his hot chocolate beginning to tip at a very dangerous angle.]

[ unlike Arthur, Mina always had a lot she wanted to do, just never enough time to do it. School and Hero classes kept her busy, training made her sore a lot, and she ended up not having a lot of free time to just wander around town, window shopping and trying new cute cafés with delicious pastries. When she finally does have time, none of her friends are available; it's boring to go alone, but she really wanted to buy new boots and thus Mina ends up going to town on her own.

When her shopping is done - she bought a lot more than just boots in the end -, she decided to stop by at the cute coffee shop she heard about, only to end up spotting Arthur sitting at one of the couches. Just in time to save his chocolate! Mina quickly reaches for it, grabbing the cup before it falls, and with her other hand she pokes Arthur's forehead ]

[Arthur had been drifting for a while, reaching the dangerous point where he thought it would have been to let his eyes shut for just a while.

'Careful there--']

I-I'm okay!? [His exclamation came out halfway through as a question. Arthur snapped awake, his hands fumbling for the drink Mina had already caught. He glanced up just in time to blink reflexively when Mina poked his forehead. Following Mina's arm to the cup of cocoa he'd ordered, Arthur's face went red and the best he could manage in response had been a half-mumbled thanks in a small voice and an expression that read 'I'd like to crawl under something'.]

T-Thank you.

[ Mina immediately snorts, holding her mouth while she tries not to laugh loud. She does a good job at it, grinning wide after while he carefully waves Arthur's cup ]

You look tired! [ or bored. Mina gives him the cup back, and unceremoniously, she sits next to him and tries to look at his phone. Shame? What is that? ] You should probably watch something better if this isn't keeping you awake.

Ah, thank you, Ashido-san. [Arthur switched his phone to selfie mode so he could look at his face, taking his cocoa with his other hand. He inspected himself in the camera. He could see what Mina saw and it didn't bother him at all. That was normal. He tended to carry eye drops with him to deal with it, after all. Hints of bags under his eyes and his sclera had been a little black from stress. It was his body's way of showing exhaustion.

He envied Mina's well of energy. He'd never once seen her droopy-eyed or slouching.]

I've been trying to watch this show for a few days now but I can't get past the second episode. If I sit down to watch it, I just end up falling asleep.

Hair barrettes?

[ She eyes him as much as she can from her current position, wanting to give him a flat look but also not wanting to move away. He's surprisingly comfortable, that's all... ]

I dunno. With your new style, I was thinking "what if Rin wanted to change the rest of her style a little" and then I realized you don't really wear hair accessories do you.

Not really... they're too cutesy.

[ And she gave up wearing cute things a long time ago... ]

[ He shifted a little, just so he could hold her a little closer to himself. ]

"She'll be back," he responded, full of confidence because there were some things he naturally noticed with the group. He tended to watch a lot of the time, force of habit from how he grew up and because of it he saw what others might not notice. Picking up on little things had kept him alive plenty of times.

Allowing for Jesper to move him around, his breath hitched a little with the proximity. The flare of heat spread through him at the closeness and he liked it. He liked it a lot. "Are you comfortable?" he asked, just to make sure, his own arm looping around Jesper, still somewhat timid. Sometimes Jesper reminded him of a wounded bird and he never wanted to make him try to fly away and fail.

He nods a little, not quite in agreement, but he needs to believe it. That they won't just all leave and go their separate ways forever. These people had become his family over the last few years, some newer than others, but the bond was there just the same.

Jesper feels it first in his chest, in the way he suddenly doesn't have enough room for the air in his lungs to move. Then the tightness crawls up the back of his throat, threatening to choke him. He nods at Wylan's question, unable to trust his own voice as his eyes sting with tears.

He buries his face against Wylan when the other boy's arm come around him, fingers fisting in his shirt. "Everything's changing..." he whispers, voice tight, Zemeni accent suddenly thicker.

Maybe he is a wounded bird, after all.

I'm not sure that there are any that are "my style".

[ Not that she probably wouldn't wear anything Haru made her anyway, even if only in front of him. But she'll let him shift, taking advantage of the closeness to bury her face in his neck. ]

[ Mina places her shopping bags down besides their table, glancing back at him ] Aah? Is training being too hard to you, Arthur?

[ Mina has indeed tons of energy to spare, but that means at the end of the day, she ends up being very tired too. Nothing like a few hours of sleep don't heal but... well, it seems like that isn't enough for Arthur ]

Why don't you try to rest and watch after? Unless you are afraid you will sleep for a whole day straight? [ she teases, leaning against him a little playfully ]

Hah! Maybe? I've always been pretty lousy at planning ahead. I'd definitely miss a whole day if I didn't stick to the schedule.

[Certainly not his schedule. He didn't write it. The 'Fairweather' family let their secretaries do that. Arthur wasn't any different, even if he felt guilty.

Arthur reached down to set his drink down on the table, slipping his phone into his pocket. Just getting a glance at a dozen texts from his sister added another layer to his exhaustion.

His expression lightened a little more at the gentle teasing, relieved. He wasn't the best upperclassman but he wanted to at least be amicable. For a moment, he glanced at Mina's bags, curious, then tilted his chin at them.]

Are you taking a break too, Mina? I hope exams weren't too rough on you. [But, who was he kidding? She was in Eraserhead's class.]

eehh? Well, missing a day isn't bad! [ missing a day, or several. That's why Mina doesn't study, because she basically just never plans her day and does whatever she wants. Please don't use her as an example, Arthur. ]

Ah- I still haven't started studying! [ and she says that very cheerfully too ] I decided to go shopping instead! look, look- [ she reaches for a bag, to pull out a jacket ] Isn't it cute???

Really? Maybe I could take a day... [Half a day. A couple hours. Ten minutes. He'd take an extra ten minutes and that could be 'like' a day. Mina was convincing right up until she admitted she hadn't studied. Arthur reached up nudged his head against Mina's lightly, the most gentle form of reproach he could think of.]

It's super cool! That design is really rad! But! [Okay, so he was staring at it. God, be a little brave, he told himself.]
