The premise is simple.

[1] Your character has a sign listing out all the pros and cons of dating them. Maybe they wrote it themselves, maybe they didn't.
[2] This list is displayed for everyone else to see.
[3] That's it.

[A murderous stalker? He is so much more than that, how dare.]

So many intriguing things, Cloud. But there is one, I find, that currently piques my curiosity.

[ A murderer and a stalker, so murderous stalker. Simple. ]

Oh, is there? [ He rolls his eyes. ] I'm afraid to ask.

[Okay, but fated nemesis sounds way better. Or dearly detested, perhaps?

But he will gesture simply to that little line that says, "looks good in a dress" with that ever-present smirk curving his lips.]

[ Ugh. He'd just known Sephiroth was going to be curious about that. He refuses to give him the pleasure of seeing him embarrassed or humiliated though. ]

What, you want to see me in a dress? Didn't think you'd be the type to be into that.

[Sephiroth lives to make you uncomfortable, Cloud. Of course he's interested in that.]

Seems we are both full of... surprises. [He pauses, then begins to circle slowly like a shark that's caught a waft of blood.]

Something... elegant yet rebellious is what I picture.

[ Oh boy. He glares at Sephiroth and crosses his arms over his chest, following his every move with his eyes. Why does the man have to be so damn creepy? ]

Well, you can keep picturing it because that's all you're getting.

[What few social skills Sephiroth had before Nibelheim (a functioning concept of personal boundaries included) are now entirely absent. Unfortunately for poor Cloud, this means he doesn't know how to take a hint.

For now, he keeps to his predatory circling and remains outside of Cloud's bubble. But it's probably only a matter of time.]

Oh? Come now-- such modesty does not suit you.

[ Cloud is a little surprised that Sephiroth hasn't invaded his personal space just yet, considering he's never shown much concern for it in the past. The circling just makes him more uneasy, though he tries not to show it. ]

Why would I want to indulge you of all people? [ Especially concerning something he'd mostly found entirely embarrassing. ]

[Sephiroth will neglect to answer that question; he definitely doesn't deserve to be indulged. Whether all of this is another ploy to dig under Cloud's skin or Sephiroth is being genuine is anyone's guess. Perhaps both?]

Shall I visit you in your dreams? Perhaps you'll be more pliable.

[Even in dreams, Cloud remains willful. But Sephiroth is - as always - confident in his ability to influence.]

[ Cloud visibly recoils at the thought, glowering at the other man. Could he possibly have put that in a worse way? He tries to collect himself, but he knows it's too late. Sephiroth's already seen how appalled he is by that idea. ]

I won't be. I hate you when I'm asleep too.

[Ah-- well, Sephiroth incited something beyond the steely glare, didn't he? Unfortunately for Cloud, this is what ends up drawing Sephiroth in further-- where he'll bring a hand down to firmly clasp Cloud's shoulder if he doesn't retaliate first. He's enticed.]

Dreams are interesting things... Don't you agree? --How often do you find yourself thinking them to be the truth before you wake?

[ Cloud immediately tenses when he feels Sephiroth's hand on his shoulder, glowering at the man. He, of course, has less control in a dream which is what makes Sephiroth's words so appalling. With a disgusted snort he tries to wrench his shoulder out of the man's grip. ]

Don't touch me. [ His eyes narrow. ] I can tell the difference.
