...A valid point. [After spending time around Selina, Harley and Ivy? He knows not to argue with that look.]

And how many 'cape-chasers' have you met who have happily told you they have one of your pinups? And what they think of it. [Though most probably don't have originals given how much they go for. Which makes it worse in his opinion.]

Honestly not that many. I ain't exactly a big name in these games, and I'm happy for it, given by the time I got here my name was already in history textbooks.

It's mostly old fellas at the VA, and they're usually sweet about it. I try not to linger on it only bein' a decade or so for me since one of there buddies might've been sneakin' sugar in my fuel tank to keep a dame outta the air.

Ugh, wrinkled old has-beens reminiscing about when they were relevant? If you call that 'sweet' far be it for me to object. [More than he already has.] They clearly did a poor job of it if any of them were sabotaging you.

[Zinda snorts] That was when I was ferryin' planes. Happened to the WASPs and WAVES an' the like more often than you'd think. Not even the enemy, just disgruntled fellas on the homefront thinkin' their ideals were more important than lives.

[She's officially War Story Drunk now. If Oracle knows she wanders into villain-frequented bars and tells rambling and occasionally gory stories about her days as a resistance fighter and war-criminal-hunter, she doesn't seem to have an issue with any of the effects this habit has.

Helena thinks Tarantino owes her royalties.]

Mmhmm. [As uninterested as Edward is by the war stories - a time-displaced pilot is interesting yes but not for her stories - she's still better than other potential companions at the bar. The down-side to the regular villain haunts is never knowing when someone like the Joker or Kiteman will show up. So war stories from a drunk Bat-associate will do.]

There's no shortage now of those who think their personal ideals are all that matter. [She gets a pointed look.] The context might change but the sense of entitlement doesn't.

[Someone clearly got a Bat-beating recently.]

Y'mean like feelin' like they got the right to hurt folks for not meetin' their standards for things like solvin' puzzles?

[She gives him a pointed look right back, though hers is a little drier. Unlike certain vigilantes though, it doesn't come from a place of superiority. War or not, she's got too much blood on her hands to get too righteous.

She just thinks the riddle gimmick is stupid, and it kind of shows.]

For not being smart enough? Yes, I do.

[Riddles are a good way to test people's intelligence, and he enjoys them. So what if not just she but half the other rogues think it's a ridiculous gimmick that gets him caught? They just can't appreciate his brilliance.]

I want to make people smarter. The world would be better if intelligence, not wealth, ruled.
