the ACCIDENTAL EXTRADIMENSIONAL TOURIST meme
the ACCIDENTAL EXTRADIMENSIONAL TOURIST meme
Have you ever wanted to travel to another planet? Another REALITY? Even if this is something that has never crossed your mind, It's about to happen. For reals. A giant wormhole has opened up beneath you and dropped you elsewhere. You have no choice in what world you're heading to, or even where you'll be landing. Luckily (or unluckily) you'll be dropped near to a resident of the world who will have no choice but to play your tour guide and help you get to know your new home.
How it works 1. Post with your character. In the body include a little bit about where your character is, or what they are currently doing. You can write as little, or as much as you want! Just a simple sentence saying something like [John Doe is sitting in his office at the paper company goofing off and playing call of duty while his boss isn't looking.] is fine, or you could go into more detail and write a paragraph or two describing a key place in your world's canon to really set the scene for incoming tourists. Try not leave your initial comment blank. This meme will probably work best if you set up a scene or leave a couple ideas, no matter how short.
2. Find someone else who's world you are invading and post dropping in on them. Maybe you just opened a door and found yourself there, maybe you fell into a worm hole. Either way you are not where you were a moment ago. optional: The wormhole might have handily provided you with the means to blend in to your new environment. If you find yourself hopping out into a school, you might be wearing an appropriate uniform, if you happen to fall out into a swords and sorcery type world you might find yourself sporting plate armor or wizard robes, and if you find yourself on an alien planet... well you might look just like the aliens who live there.
3. Remember that with this sort of meme it's probably best to tag outside of canonmates. But, either way, have fun and try not to kill the tourists!

Wally | Pokemon ORAS
It seems you're not the only tourist around here either. There's a young slightly frail looking young man nearby, putting the finishing touches on the tent he's been setting up. He's not a tourist from another world though, simply a visitor from another region. There's also a strange white and green warrior nearby chopping wood with his blade like arms.
When the teen notices the stranger he smiles and gives them a shy wave. ]
Oh! Hello. I didn't notice you. You weren't, um, going to use this camping spot were you? I can move, it's no bother.
Sanguine | The Elder Scrolls | ota
Known as 'The Ruby Fall' it's almost serene in comparison to some of the eternal parties some of the other pockets host. This is a gorgeous rose garden under a night sky lit up with stars. From somewhere high above and unseen as if poured from a giant bottle is a waterfall of wine in the deepest red and forms a river through the garden.
Lounging around next to the river in a silk robe that BARELY covers anything is Sanguine himself, a golden goblet of river wine in one hand, some bawdy novel in the other. He looks up upon sensing his new company.
"Well this is unexpected," his dark lips curl into a smile, "But not unwanted. Welcome to the Myriad Realms of Revelry! If I knew a guest would be calling I'd have prepped a welcome."
Molly heard the word debauchery and was immediately In
He came to a halt, tail swaying behind him as he considered the little green pouch in his hand full of the dried mushrooms that he'd definitely not taken yet, brows lifting as he heard the greeting that drew his attention to the stranger. An attractive stranger which just had the tiefling pausing to let his gaze skim over him appreciatively as he strolled closer, curious where he'd found himself and just who the man was.
"If I knew I was going to be coming to call I'dve brought a bottle but," He gestures to the river with a chuckle. "It looks like you've got the drinks handled. I can't say I've heard of the Myriad Realms of Revelry and I consider that a personal shame."
He swept the hand with the pouch to his chest in a playfully showy bow, amused gaze on the other. He wasn't a wizard but he knew power when he saw it. "Mollymauk Tealeaf, Molly to my friends. And what might I call my dashing host?"
Mazaki Anzu | Yu-Gi-Oh! | OTA
Her blue eyes swept over the scenery searching for some sign of where she was and yet, she found nothing. Not a single soul or sign gave way to where she was. Wherever she was, it was a beautiful place that needed to be explored.
Anzu rose to her feet, brushing off debris from her legs and clothing. She still had no idea how the hell she got here in the first place. All she could remember was watching the boys duel each other. It had been like any other ordinary day. Jounouchi and Honda had come to join her and Yugi for a beautiful afternoon picnic in Domino Park. She knew they were bound to duel each other just for fun that Anzu had decidedly moved away and took a seat off to the side to just watch her boys play.
Anzu's slender brows furrowed together. Something happened and she could not remember. Why could she not remember what happened? There had been what sounded like an explosion and a light enveloping her in its embrace.
"Standing here won't give us a clue to where we are," she murmured making her way toward the forest.

You've found your way into what seems to be a rural Japanese building - the Ooku, or rather, a replica of it, in a way. For those who may be familiar with the building there seems to be something... off, about it.
Then again -
That's what happens when you step into a labyrinth, a maze of corridors and paths. But don't worry, you'll find the right way... eventually.
What people might find in the first floor chambers are rather eerie, quiet maidservants that make the attempt to attack whoever they see. Although strangely enough, they don't seem to be rather strong and can be easily defeated in one strike, even for the weakest of people.
But once you enter the first hallway, the path splits: left, and right.
Pick your poison.
... perhaps even quite literally.]
[OOC: Any of the F/GO characters that participated in the Ooku event will notice that the labyrinth is exactly the same, so if they want to renavigate the same way they did originally, feel free! I'm currently only in Act 8 of the event, so no major spoilers past that, please. Other JP-related spoilers are fair game, though.]

The Red Night was a dimension of all sorts of bizarre things. A red sky. A black moon. Eldritch abominations made from the pure hatred of people. And time was frozen shut. Since he was separated from his group, he figured that he'd do a little exploring on his own before going off to meet back up with them. What was the worst that could happen here?
The maidservants were easy for him to take down with his pyrokinesis powers. They seemed about as strong as Larva, so blasting them away with a set of fireballs did the trick. They didn't look or feel human, so he didn't have to hesitate there. The delinquent lets out a huff as he wipes the sweat from his brow.]
Jeez! I don't mind bein' popular with the ladies, but this is overdoing it! Alright, got your classic fork in the road.
[What did his gut say in a time like this? Grinning rather broadly, Takahisa makes his decision as he moves onward.]
Okay! We're headin' left! Might find me a treasure chest on the way.
no subject
Not that he's getting any answers from anyone. Heading left, he'll notice that the hallway is rather... strangely warm as he progresses. But there doesn't seem to be anyone there for a good few minutes, until he enters a room--
Only to encounter more of the maidservants.
Quiet, eerie, but again: pretty easy to defeat.
Once he does, however, there's another split in his path: he can either go north or west.]
no subject
The heat was something that makes Takahisa tug at his sleeve for a moment. Even though he liked hot temperatures, there was something a bit unusual about this case. If he was feeling hot, then he should blow off some steam by burning and punching them! It was so much easier to go wild whenever you didn't have to worry about holding back!]
HAAHAAAA! C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! You chumps ain't standin' a chance against the great Tajima-sama!
[His eyes flash red for a brief second before he calms himself down with some deep breathes. He got a little too lost in the action there.]
Might get another battle encounter if I go west, so I'll head north.
[Time to move straightforward! This was reminding him of an RPG game.]
no subject
...but instead, it's replaced with loud chatter. Are those ladies speaking?
Well.
Unfortunately not, it's just some more handmaidens. Strange, considering that they were mostly quiet before. Although they don't seem to be discussing anything big, just some idle chatter about how they hope to have some fun. But it's fine, they're no issue. Now the path splits north and east.]
no subject
Fun? Wonder what they're talkin' 'bout? Is the shogun comin' to town or some shit?
[Putting his hands in his pockets, Takahisa looks back and forth between the paths. He was actually glad that he was all alone for this one. If Kakeru and the others gotten involved, then it might've been harder to keep up with who went where. And it'd be more chances for them to get in trouble...]
Alright. Let's move east. Maybe I'll get more information on what's going on here.
no subject
...rather quiet...
Almost too quiet, really.
That is - until he finds himself toe to toe with a wyvern. Wait, what's a dragon doing here?]
no subject
[Dragons now!? He wished that he had a real sword like Misuzu. But this was okay, Takahisa was good at improvising. The last thing he wanted was to get bitten by that thing. Even if the fire demon within him would help him out in a pinch... He didn't want to think too hard about potentially losing himself.
Reaching into his coat take out a can, Takahisa will throw it right into the wyvern's face. It wasn't your average can, though. It was filled with gunpower.
Channeling his pyrokinesis into the weapon, the gunpowder-filled can will explode in the wyvern's face.]
no subject
And the path continues.
If he continues to move forward, there's a strange sense of stillness in the air before he encounters a bicorn, which stands in the way of him and the next pathway.]
no subject
[Okay... A sword. Takahisa didn't have one on him, but maybe... He notices an old katana sword hilt laying on the floor without a blade. Picking it up, he shuts his eyes and focuses.
Burn. Burn. Remember your anger. Remember the hatred that was born that day. Flames suddenly start to erupt from the hilt to create a blade of fire. The flames looks rather uneven and boiling, but it was still enough to use as a weapon. It was his first time doing this, so let's see what happens!]
Haaaaaaaaaaaah! DROP DEAD!
[Charging forward, Takahisa is going to attempt to slash through the bicorn's throat.]
no subject
Congratulations, you've managed to kill a bicorn. The path forward is near.
But it's also very very cold, almost chilling.]
no subject
[He had put his sword hilt in his pocket and starts to hug his shoulders as he moves forward. This would be troublesome if he encountered another enemy... He couldn't rely on his pyrokinesis if there was no kinetic energy.]
no subject
Because look, a friend!]
no subject
Quickly, Takahisa hides behind some old furniture before he's spotted. Now he really had to go back to his old days of fighting for survival on the streets. He reaches into his pocket to take out a yen coin and flicks it down the way he came.
If it was an animal, then he had to assume that it was sensitive to loud noises and shiny things too. Once he finally leaves here, Takahisa figured that he'd have to find a different way out.]
no subject
...doesn't really move, just staring at it with a confused look on its face. Weird.]
no subject
[He'll have to do this the old fashioned way then! He was a hero of justice, after all! Stepping out, Takahisa gets into a fighting position.]
Are you stupid or what?! You got free money being handed to you and you choose not to jump at it!? Act like a normal dog, you freakin' mutated mutt!
[Yelling like that gets him more hyped up, though. And he can feel heat in his body coming back from his raw anger alone.]
no subject
But at the very least, it seems that the creature is now paying attention to him now, actively wanting to attack.
However: it seems to be waiting for him to make the first move, first.
Hm.]
no subject
He's so focused on defeating the monster in front of him that he forgotten how cold he was. Takahisa goes in to start throwing a series of punches towards its face.
Or as the kids would say: ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA--]
no subject
no subject
Jeez... How long have I been running around here? I oughta take a break in a room somewhere.
no subject
Bad news: there's just something about this corridor that gives off creepy, horrifying vibes. As if you want to get out of here as soon as possible.
At the end of the hall, however: he'll see three white chimera.]
no subject
It's time to give his new flaming sword a whirl again. This time, Takahisa calms himself to try and focus the blade.]
Alright! Let's test this thing against three opponents!
[Though he wants to end the battle quickly since 3 vs. 1 fights are a disadvantage. He'll jump in to strike down at the first chimera.]
no subject
It honestly is really strange - that all of the enemies here have been relatively easy to defeat.
......huh.]
