[Cooper had first met Muldoon back when he'd been a young man. Cooper, of course, had been young himself and remained as such, as he had been for hundreds of years. Most of the time, he tended to pull away from such people after a few short years, given human beings had such fragile, short lifespans.

But when the supernatural world became more known to the outside world, he'd decided to take his chances. Thus, he'd kept in contact with his friend even as he'd roamed the world, forever tied to spots that had working "Underworlds", places the death gods of old had decided to make their residence in.

When he'd been asked to come on a road trip, the eternal seventeen year old had said yes without a second thought. He was currently eating a hamburger and had his booted feet up on the dash. Cooper also wasn't wearing a seatbelt. After all, it wasn't like such a device was going to do anything to protect an immortal being that couldn't be killed.]

You know, maybe we should have taken some choppers.

[Lurine had originally met Petra through her husband, back when she'd been a B-list movie star that the studio insisted needed protection from a pair of very unhinged stalkers. Granted, Lurine could have taken care of them with little effort, but she was careful to restrain herself where the public was concerned. She'd kept in contact with the woman and had taken a greater interest after her husband had died.

She'd told Petra of her intentions to take a road trip, telling her to let the children be watched by other caretakers for a while, and come with Lurine to visit some fabulous sights. So here they were on the road in a classic Chevy pained cherry red.]

[Road trips, something Zuke was used to doing. Playing in small gigs and working with a strict budget. Felt a little weird to doing it again after the goings on in Vinyl City. But Zuke liked it like this. It was on their terms and they can play their hearts out. Avoid the city life for a brief moment and enjoy the journey and quiet.

[ When Clark arrives, the place is eerily quiet. Alfred waves him inside, and Clark feels a twinge of regret seeing rolled up sleeves and smelling grease; he must have been tinkering, Downstairs, and had to come up all this way just to answer the door. He glances at the phone, still open on his text thread with Bruce. Cryptic as ever, saying little but to meet him in the garage. A request for clarification had meet met with a polite, but uninformative dead end: You'll see. ]

[ He'll see. He can't deny he's curious, and it would be nice to see Bruce outside of meetings. It's not healthy only to talk to others when the world is on fire, to race towards the sun to be first instead of walking beside those who want to share the burdens. Rebirth has left a lot on his plate, the way it rings through all that he touches, and there are regrets Clark is doing his best not to create. ]
