She'd already given her mission report to someone else. To one of the many faceless, nameless soldiers who record that sort of thing. Administrative types with clipboards and mouth guards at the ready for when she's wiped again.

But Pierce likes a personal touch. He prefers to check in on some missions himself.

So River sits in her chair, knuckles white on the arms. Waiting.

The Winter Soldier programme has been hit and miss since its conception, but so far the success rate is still high enough for HYDRA to keep it running. Pierce checks in every now and then to make sure the results justify the tremendous amount of time and money that goes into it, and there are a few Assets he likes to keep in touch with so to speak.

The youngest success story is one of those rare gems which has done great work so far despite the occasional blip. She can probably kill them all with her mind one day, the fearful higher-up and scientists complain, which amuses Pierce to no end. Maybe she can and maybe she will; and when that day comes, there's not much of anything any of them can do to stop her. So why worry?

"File retrieved. Davidson eliminated. Samuels eliminated. Detection unlikely." She never likes to say impossible. It's a quirk of hers. She knows the probabilities, knows the likelihoods and there's always a margin of error. Slim, but existant.
