Comment with your character, preferences, preferred role, and any information you'd like to include.
Your character has either been injured/sick and had to be taken in (possibly against their will) or has been the one to help somebody like the former. Through the mending process, the two characters in a thread have fallen in love - or at least grown closer and more affectionate.
[Likely the injured party, as he has made a career of pissing people off, so there's a slight preference there. Might be cared for against his will or not -- I'm easy. Really only would play the doting caregiver to Ed or someone for whom he has some figurative fucks to give (so strong assumed romance is a must there.)]
[ despite what it says on the tin, for him this doesn't have to be shipping (though it can be!) open to canon (divergence or otherwise) or even full au. however, might want to discuss that a bit first if going with the full au option. he is likelier the injured or sick (perhaps curse-induced?) party. ]
A careless mistake. He did know better than to turn his back on the enemy, Lan Xichen was the Lan Sect Leader. But one simple wrong move and he ended up with a sword in his arm. It was only him and Wangji out here, not thinking they needed anyone else given how strong the two of them were. Not to mention they moved in sync, like one cultivator instead of two separate ones. They should have taken into consideration that Lan Xichen had spent the last several months out of commission, in seclusion.
As it stood, they didnβt.
At the very least it was one of the last enemies left and the moment the sword went through his arm he removed their head from their shoulder. Fierce corpses with weapons were a necuance, though he was curious to where they got swords from. He sheathed Shouyue and reached up, grasping at his arm and pulling his hand away. Blood, quite a bit, and he could feel it running down his arm. The longer he stared at his hand the sooner he realized something odd, there was bits of black ooze mixed in with it and he was quite certain that wasnβt dirt.
Especially when his vision spun and he needed to catch himself against a nearby tree. Carefully, slowly, he sunk down to the ground and sat in a very ungraceful and un-Lan like motion. Not that it could be helped, they were lucky he didnβt just collapse and pass out. Was it poison? Where would the fierce corpses get poison from? Perhaps they should have actually invited Wei Wuxian along, but Wangji hadnβt even mentioned grabbing the man from the Jingshi. A part of him had thought that was because Wangji wordlessly wanted to just spend time with him.
A flash of white, a set of very bright golden and concerned eyes. Lan Xichen managed to lift his head a bit and blinked through the haze to his younger brother. That look was becoming one he was far too associated with on Wangjiβs face when it came to him lately.
βWangji?β Did he speak his name or slur it, he was having a hard time hearing properly. βItβs alright. Did we get them all?β Caiyi Town should be safe now, at least for the time being. Theyβd need to send other cultivators down to investigate where the infestation came from. Heβd do it himself but, well, he didnβt think he could even draw his sword right now.
