He's not exactly... tech savvy. But he can't just leave it there, right? It looks so sad. And he probably shouldn't project feelings onto something like that, but. It does. Besides, it's going to rain.
Embarrassingly enough, he has to get help because there is no way he's carrying it by himself, but. He has friends that don't ask a lot of questions, and those are the best kind. Eventually he has the little bot-thing in his apartment and he's... not sure what to do now? He can fix things, he's just not sure how much needs fixing.
"Okay," he murmurs as he scoots a little closer. He has it propped against a wall just so it doesn't slump over. He bites his lip. "How the heck do I turn you on...? Wait, are you on?"

Carl sent Markus back to him. Not for any specific reason, not because he was upset, simply because Markus had a bit of an accident and apparently broke a rotator gear. Well, Elijah knew that, Carl just said “he’s twitchy now” with a great deal of concern. Elijah was just glad that during this accident Carl himself wasn’t hurt. Androids he could fix, humans he could not. Much less a human that took cares as well as Carl did, which was to say not at all.
With Markus with him though that left Carl down help, which he desperately needed. So Elijah sent in Markus’ place Chloe, which left him without his most trustworthy Android. It was a bit frustrating not having her around, she was quite good at dodging calls for him and giving vague non-answers to CyberLife when they called. Elijah wanted to deal with them about as much as he wanted to go outside; which was not at all.
He’s been shut up inside his Villa for so long he almost thinks real sunlight will burn him to death if he leaves. Which was fine by him, he hated the public and he hated people watching him just as much. There was nothing he needed outside that he simply couldn’t do in here. It was 2038 they had the great services of people delivering everything you could ever need to your house. He got a new couch just a few months ago.
Elijah’s been awake for over an entire day now, maybe two he lost count. Trying to fix Markus was proving to be more difficult than he thought. The cuff he broke was still a prototype, which meant he didn’t have replacement parts just laying around. He didn’t want to have to take Markus’ entire arm off but it was proving to be something he might actually have to do after all. Elijah sat the screwdriver down and rubbed at his temples, a heavy sigh falling from his lips. There, in the corner of his computer screen beside the blueprints of the RK200, was another video chat call from CyberLife.
They were angry, they were scared, Deviants were becoming a more common thing. Elijah didn’t care, and not just because he might have been part of the cause of this. He was still angry they kicked him from his own company, if they thought he’d go quietly, they underestimated his intelligence.
Hearing the elevator into the lab Elijah turned his head to the side and frowned at the Android. “Markus, did you need something? I’m still trying to figure this out—actually, pull up a chair, I might need to visually look at your arm.”

I'd especially like scenes along the lines of someone teaching #16 about romantic love or possibly accidentally thinking he's already in love, but really, he's just nice.

Likely scenarios are 5-7, 10, 11 and 15. She could easily get attached to her 'assigned unit'/new owner and determined to learn (or re-learn) how to participate in human behaviors. ]

Chloe told him that Connor died.
It was interesting, for sure. She’d been keeping an eye on the RK800 for a while, since they knew that he existed, and that CyberLife had released him. Her one job was just to keep tabs on him, where he was, what he was doing, how far along he was—and of course; if he was still alive. When the alert came that he wasn’t anymore and that his body had been shipped back to CyberLife for a replacement to be issued—they both knew what that would mean.
Upon the RK800’s failure, for whatever reason, he’d be decommissioned and destroyed. As a prototype fixing him was pointless, there wasn’t the parts or the reason for doing it. The best thing was just to destroy him, especially if he showed signs of software instability.
It fascinated him the lengths of which they went to in order to protect their secret. Like it mattered. It didn’t, of course, they were still going to lose Elijah would make sure of it. He had his hand into the pot far too much to care how this worked. So long as it did, of course. He needed to win, he needed CyberLife back, he needed Connor alive. When asked, Chloe just told him the reason was listed as “failure”, he was deactivated and set to be decommissioned later that day.
Well, Elijah never wanted to try his hand at stealth, but there was a first time for everything.
Elijah could still get into CyberLife. It was his building after all he knew every single back door that there was in this place. With a simple hacked keycard, a scan of his body and some wiring—he was inside CyberLife in less time than it took for him to shower and change his clothes.
With everything going on CyberLife was practically a ghost town, the cold atmosphere of it was even unsettling to Elijah. The machines weren’t going, the people that worked there were gone, it was just a big empty building. Quiet enough he could hear his shoes echo against the tiles. He kept his gaze glued to his tablet, making sure to mess with any security cameras that he passed. The last thing he wanted was to alert someone and have security run him down.
The ‘decommission chamber’ was exactly where it was before, they hadn’t even bothered to change the password to getting inside. Elijah used his tablet to hack his way inside, shoving the door open and closing it behind him. In the safety of the room for now he slipped his tablet down inside the bag on his shoulder and started further into the room. There wasn’t much in here, Androids that passed through it did so quickly. After they were fully decommissioned their bodies were destroyed and recycled, CyberLife’s idea of being ‘eco friendly’. Purely a publicity stunt.
Finding Connor was far too easy.
He was tucked away in a corner, strapped to the belt, ready to be shipped inside. Elijah made his way over and reached down, tapping Connor’s face a few times before looking to the rest of him. “Shut down, probably an override from the Garden. I can manually give him a command to follow.”
The tablet lit up on his bag and Chloe’s voice echoed through the earpiece in his ear.
“Do you believe that’s a good idea, Elijah? If he’s controlled by the Garden, it might alert CyberLife.”
“We’ll just be working on a timer then. I can’t carry him out.” Reaching his hand upward Elijah tapped Connor’s LED on the side of his head and woke the Android. “RK800, register user ID and voice authorization; Elijah Kamski. I need you to follow me.” Connor wasn’t awake, it was more like a trance or a phone input to load something. It was a blind override order that pushed him to follow Elijah. At the very least, it was what worked. Getting back out with the Android following him was mostly easy.
They escaped into the car that Chloe had parked to the side and the moment Connor no longer had to follow his order—the Android was slumped over in the back seat. Elijah kept checking him in the mirror but even his LED was grey, nothing showing any sort of light. He wondered what exactly the Garden screwed up inside of him to cause that.
Chloe carried him inside the Villa to make things less complicated. They brought him down into the lab and Elijah hooked him up to every single machine that he had in there. The first step was removing the garden, to try and wake Connor back up and then figure out from there what exactly they’d broken. It wasn’t an easy process, it took hours that soon bled into days. At some point when trying to do what he needed to Elijah had fallen asleep at his desk, just blacking out for an hour before startling himself awake once more.
He rubbed his face, was sure he had dark circles under his eyes, and turned in the chair to look back at Connor. He could remove the garden, but there might be—fragments of Connor’s memory missing. Everything he tried led to that conclusion, he could preserve everything Connor was and remove the garden. It was because of how deeply rooted the program was into Connor’s memory, because it used that to determine things about him.
This was a risk he’d have to take, apparently.
Elijah turned back to his computer and started the process. Another two hours, another far deep dive into Connor’s code, and the Zen Garden was removed from the Android. With that being finally taken care of Elijah rolled his chair over to the table the Android was on and again slid his finger over the LED to activate the Android. Hopefully this time what woke up was less a forced override and actually Connor himself.
