Touches. Glances. Sides brushing, so close to each other. The moment is, most likely, quite, subdued, and calm. Or it could be loud and full of life, right in the middle of a vivacious party. Yet, no matter the case, your blood is pumping - no, nearly boiling with the passion bubbling between you and your companion. Unfortunately, this sexual tension is completely and absolutely out of line. Whether it be the place, the time, your relationship with the person (be that literal relation or power difference, age difference, experience difference, and so on), your own lack of knowledge, or personal convictions, you should not act on any building desires. But here's the thing about tension: it builds. It builds, and it builds, until... Well, even subtlety can come to an inappropriate head. HOW TO PLAY This meme isn't for smut, though smut is allowed. What it is for is the delicious, anticipatory build up and the dances people can do to deny attraction. Foreplay, especially creative foreplay, is encouraged. the world always needs to be saved. there's always a kitten in a tree. there's always some prat in a pair of tights that will show up and save the day. let them. he's not concerned about the big aliens and fighting on the front lines. he's worried about the demons that go day by day. the ones that people don't care to save others from.

john constantine leans his head back and looks at the dusky gotham sky. a puff of smoke leaves him as his cigarette burns and people shoot him nasty looks in gotham park. sodd off, he doesn't much care.

he's only in gotham for one reason. a very dangerous magical combustion reason. ]

( After destroying an apartment building, Bruce promised to clean up after Wanda on the condition she begins therapy to deal with the turbulent emotions running through her — these made her unstable and unfit to help anyone when she couldn't control her powers, and people were afraid of her.

Another failed therapy session under her belt, Wanda begins walking back to her apartment, cutting through the park to help clear her head. While her therapist tried to get through to her, Wanda is unwilling to open up easily, afraid of what people might think if they find out what is really beneath the surface.

A sudden jolt of magical energy catches Wanda's attention, enough to cause her to pause midstep before taking another path through the park. Following her instinct and the alluring pull of the magical presence, she spots a man sitting on a bench smoking a cigarette. She eyes him for a few moments before walking over to the bench to take a seat, normally she would ask, but he seems like the kind of guy that would blow her off. )

Here I thought people gave me dirty looks.

[ John feels a tingle of magical energy himself the moment she steps around into the area. His eyes slide over to her, a grin around the cigarette forming. Ah, there's the magical combustion herself. Not that anyone named Bruce Wayne or anyone else nudged him in her direction. John can tell when the magical bits are out of sync and need to be looked into. Especially if they haven't sorted themselves out.

Although a shaman may have told him about someone who needed to be a bit contained. ]

Oh, trust me, luv. People will give you dirty looks no matter what. [ He makes no move to sit himself up or properly fix his posture. ] Do you normally talk to strangers the moment you sit down?

Only the more interesting ones, ( Wanda comments as she leans back against the bench, relaxing as she glances up at him for a moment before surveying the park. It doesn't bother her that he doesn't sit or fixes his posture; she's more comfortable when people are themselves instead of pretending to be people they aren't. ) Sometimes I even do it standing.

( A genuine laugh, more like a snort, comes from Wanda — she isn't too surprised that he knows about her abilities. She shakes her head, bringing her fingers up to roll a ball of red energy between her fingers before letting it dissipate. )
