Their borrowed freighter is one of hundreds, and they are just another anonymous ship here for the show, but Ben is of no mind to appreciate the spectacle of the galaxy-spanning party going on outside.

Everything inside the cabin is momentarily cast in shades of green and gold, but this burst of light is significantly closer and brighter than any of the rest – the results of an overly enthusiastic spectator setting off a salvo of their own fireworks. He can feel a faint trace of a concussive force shiver against his knees.
