The Public Sex Meme

This is for all you people out there who like a bit of a thrill. Does the thought of getting caught at any moment turn you on? Well, this meme is the one for you!

Taken from memebells on lj. Trigger warning for what's below the cut!

- Post with your characters name, fandom and any preferences
- Others respond to your post
- Roll RNG 1-11 for a location! The rest is kind of self-explanitory!

1) The Beach. You're at the beach and it's strangely deserted...you're with someone you love. What will you do to pass the time?

2) A car. You've taken a relaxing night-time drive with your partner. Now you're parked in a deserted area watching the sun go down. You're all alone in an enclosed area and the other person is looking extremely attractive tonight.

3) A plane. You're on your way for a romantic vacation with your partner. But what happens when you can't wait until you get off the plane? Well, there's a small bathroom....

4) Parents/relatives house. You're staying with your parents or other relatives for the weekend. You don't know why but the fact that you're in the same house as a relative and could get caught in the act any time is really turning you on. (Let's hope you don't get caught *cringe*)

5) A strangers property. You have no idea whose house this is but right now you don't really care. The only thing you're concentrating on is you and that other lucky person. A barn? Inside the house? It doesn't matter, you want them.

6) A changing room. Well, let's just say you both got bored trying on clothes and you'd rather take them off each other instead. In an enclosed area of course.

7) Restaurant restroom. The food was amazing, now for desert. Maybe you're on a first date and you hit it off with the person or maybe you just can't wait until you get home. Either way you find yourself in the rest room.

8) Fairground/theme park. Ahh the wonders of a carnival. Again, maybe it's your first date and you're on the Ferris wheel. Chances have it may just break down when you're right at the top. What are you going to do to pass the time until they can get you down?

9) Woods/Forest. Remember that time when you said you would never ever have sex against a tree? No? Okay then....

10) On a stage. Even if there's no one watching you, being on a stage gives you the feeling of an audience. Maybe it's your thing, a fantasy that you've always had. Well, now's your chance to fulfil it.

11) Your choice. A combination of the above or make up your own! I'm sure there's plenty of other interesting things you could play out!

oh and i suppose i should mention this is #4

"And it works just because of, of - " He made a vague gesture with his hand. "Because of magic? No tracking devices or GPS?" Q ached to take it apart, to examine each piece and see how it fit together. He knew he wouldn't find a bit labeled 'MAGIC' that he could then disassemble to see how that worked, but the urge was still there. "It's ... incredible." Whether he meant 'amazing' or the more literal definition of 'unbelievable' was left unsaid.

He glanced back at her. "Do you know how it works?"
bookish_lioness: (Small smile)

figured as much :3

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-01-29 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Hermione smiled a little at his curiosity, finding it endearing. Moving in a bit closer besides him, she looked up at the clock, bunching her shoulders in a shrug. "'Magic' is about as well as I can hope to explain it. But then, I wouldn't be able to properly express how a standard clock works. I was never very good with my hands, after all."
newschool: (nervous hands.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-01-30 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, clocks are easy," he replied, shaking his head. "They're just gears and screws and coils. But a magical clock - that's got to be more than just clockwork." He crossed his arms over his chest in an attempt to keep his hands from wandering and disassembling the clock. Mrs. Weasley had been very kind in letting him stay here, and he wouldn't repay her kindness by taking her house apart bit by bit. (God, wasn't it tempting, though; the fireplace connected to the 'Floo' network, the flying brooms, the ghoul in the attic, the needles that knit themselves - he could barely contain himself.)

"Oh!" One of the hands shifted, Arthur's, going from Work to Tailor. "There, that! Is that what you mean? He went from work to the tailor?"
bookish_lioness: (Smiling in the sunlight)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-01-30 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"More to it, perhaps," Hermione admitted, "but nothing that you would be able to see. That's the thing with magic; it's just energy. You can see certain sparks of it, just as you can electricity, but for the most part, it's just invisible."

She was about to comment on how charmingly intrigued he seemed to be about everything in the house, but paused when he noticed the change in the 'time.' Smiling at him a little, she nodded and said, "Yes, that's it. It's a simple way of keeping track of such a large family."
newschool: (not displeased.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-01-31 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Q knew he could make something like this. It's a matter of trackers, secreted into the cuffs of shirts or pockets or the backs of watches, a hub to gather all the data, and something to monitor it. He could have a tablet set up to track the movements of a number of people, and it would be easy enough. But a clock? A clock that knows when to change itself without trackers, without GPS, without someone at a keyboard manipulating the code ...

"I don't understand it." He laughed a little, shaking his head, staring at it in wonder. "God, that's something I haven't said in years. But I ... don't understand it."
bookish_lioness: (Watching my bf fly his broom)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-01-31 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
It was amusing, the way he kept trying to use Muggle logic to explain magical occurrences. Casting him a sideways glance, Hermione smiled gently, telling him, "It's magic. I don't know if it's something you ever can understanding, not the way you do your various computers and gizmos."

Looking back to the clock, she added, "Believe me, it's difficult to wrap one's mind around at first, but I think we can all use a little mystery and magic in our lives."
newschool: (better than christmas.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-03 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Q smiled a little at the word gizmos - it seemed, somehow, terribly appropriate for her to use a word like that. The wizarding community seemed to be several decades behind the world he knew in many respects, so why would slang be any different?

"I don't know if I'll ever be able to wrap my mind around it. It's just energy, so how is it able to track what they're doing - " He gestured to the clock, almost helplessly - "and make my mobile into a terribly advanced, beautifully designed paperweight all at the same time? It's ... " He trailed off, looking for the right word. "...frustratingly magical."
bookish_lioness: (Grinning)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-03 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Hermione had to laugh at his use of the word 'frustrating.' Placing a hand on his arm, she gave him something of a wry smile as she told him, "If it's any consolation, I'm sure the Weasleys feel the same way about your phone. As it is, I can barely understand it, and I grew up around technology."
newschool: (analysis.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-04 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
He felt a little jolt at the hand on his arm, but didn't pull away. "I'm happy to demonstrate sometime, once we're away from all the magical interference." God, but that drove him mental. He hadn't been able to sleep the night before, so he'd tried his usual nighttime ritual of Fruit Ninja, only to find his mobile refused to work. "Although we'd have to invite Mr. Weasley along for any demonstration as well, since he seems to be quite ... excited by non-magical technology."
bookish_lioness: (Happy and nonchalant)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-04 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Hermione knew very well that's someone like Q was sure to be going slightly batty due to the lack of 'wi-fi' and other such nonsense. A little sympathetic (but more amused), she nodded as she told him, "Of course. Though I wouldn't mind a private lesson or two, just so I can be a step or two ahead and feel my way around before we get to Mr. Weasley."
newschool: (analysis.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-08 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
There probably was wisdom in that. Q tended to get impatient with people who didn't pick up on technology as quickly as he had, and considering that Arthur had called it a mobular fellytone and asked, quite earnestly, if he could listen to the dial tone ... he would probably require a go-between.

"When I can," he promised, then paused, considering something. "When Mrs. Weasley made tea last night, the tea pot seemed to do most of the work. Is that still going to happen if I try to make a cuppa now?"
bookish_lioness: (Brown-haired beauty)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-08 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Hermione can only imagine what a conversation between Q and Mr. Weasley would be like should the former ever sit the latter down for a talk on technology. She didn't know if she would want to be in the house to see that or be far, far, far away from it.

At his question, Hermione smiled and replied, "That would depend on whether the kettle is enchanted or whether she performed the charm as she made the tea. But I can go see about making you some, if you'd like to observe."
newschool: (we must all get ready now.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-09 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Would it be impossible for me to make it without magic?" he asked, wondering if anything would be possible without magic. Could he do his laundry? Did they even have a proper laundry machine? "What would happen if I tried?"
bookish_lioness: (Chilling at the Burrow)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-09 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hermione laughed gently, shaking her head. "I don't think simple household objects would be rendered unusable simply because magic is usually used on them. Unless Mrs. Weasley put some sort of wards on her things to keep anyone from using them, that is; and she wouldn't do that with anything in the kitchen, since she'd want to make sure that people would always be able to help themselves to something to eat."
newschool: (analysis.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-10 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
"She didn't seem like the type." He turned towards the kitchen, the heels of his boots thudding quietly against the wooden floors as he crossed the room. "But will the oven work? Is it a proper oven? I'm guessing it doesn't work by electricity, so is it a gas range? Or is it - " he gestured out, vaguely - "powered by pixie dust and wishes?"
bookish_lioness: (Someone's not getting laid tonight)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-10 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
At that last comment, she glances over at him, nudging gently at his ribs. "Do you think I'd really say such a thing?" she asked dryly. "Besides, pixies aren't generally dusty; if anything, they can be a bit sticky from getting into so many sweets. Anyway, if the oven doesn't work normally and you start getting peckish, I know my way around that kitchen very well."
newschool: (sir.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-16 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course pixies are bloody real," Q complained, immediately going over to the oven as they entered the kitchen to start poking around. "Well," he concluded after a bit of research, "it seems the oven does work properly, so if I'm ever left alone, I won't have to try my luck at the convenience store in town." Not that the Weasleys seem to trust him alone in their house (and, likely, for good reason, considering the urges he's already had to take apart their clock and their oven), which is why they've left him with Hermione today.

Movement outside the kitchen window caught his eye, and he straightened, pushing his glasses up on his nose as his eyes widened. "What the hell are those?"

His finger pointed to a group of small, thorny-potato-looking things with legs, darting around in the garden.
bookish_lioness: (Someone's not getting laid tonight)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-17 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Walking around with the air of someone quite familiar with the kitchen, Hermione got out the kettle, washed it out (an old habit of hers that was thoroughly unnecessary here, as nothing in Mrs. Weasley's kitchen ever attracted dust), and filled it with water from the tap before settling it on the stove. Half the time, she couldn't tell if Q was in awe of the magical world or disgusted by it, so she tried not to use her wand around him very often at all unless he asked or it was simply much easier to do so. Luckily, she didn't rely as heavily on magic as other witches and wizards did; unluckily, magic always seemed to lurk in some corner in the Weasley home.

Proof of that was when she glanced out the window at Q's question, smiling a bit wryly. "What, you've never seen a garden gnome before?" she asked teasingly. "I would have thought they lived in every garden in the countryside."
newschool: (the house of cards collapsed.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-17 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, not even Q was sure if he was in awe of or disgusted by magic. He was fascinated by it, no question; he wanted to take it apart and see how it worked and how it affected the world around them - but at the same time he found himself stymied by the lack of knowledge and curiosity about magic that most witches and wizards displayed.

You can't just say oh it's magic, isn't it neat! he'd wanted to yell at the Ministry officials. How does it work? How do you control it? How can it be improved?

"Those aren't garden gnomes! Gnomes have the hats and the beards! They don't - run around by themselves!"
bookish_lioness: (Giggling)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-18 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
One day, Q will learn that the magical world isn't the same as the one that created the... iPhone. It didn't require yearly upgrades or debugging, and no wizard has ever found himself in need of an inventive new 'app' on which to waste his time. It simply was what it was, and it didn't need to be improved upon.

Laughing gently, Hermione set a hand on his arm and asked him, "What reason have I to lie to you about something like that? Don't fret, though. They're not a bother, unless you're trying to get some decent gardening going."
newschool: (thinking about art.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-19 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Q felt another little jolt as Hermione touched him, and it felt nice. He flushed slightly, tugging at the cuff of his cardigan as it suddenly felt just a little too warm in the Weasleys' sunny kitchen.

"But they look like potatoes!" he protested, finally turning away from the window to look at her (unable to stop himself from noting how the sunlight caught in her hair). "What do they do if you try to garden?"
bookish_lioness: (Happy and nonchalant)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-19 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Shrugging a shoulder, Hermione remarked, "They're just a bit of a nuisance, that's all. And they've a bad habit of pulling up crops. The Weasleys go on a de-gnoming spree once in a while, but they keep popping up like weeds."

She shook her head, then, giving him a smile. "Don't worry, really. They've no interest in coming into the house, so we don't have to concern ourselves with any unwanted visitors."
newschool: (with cause for concern.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-24 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course they went on de-gnoming sprees. What do you feel like doing today, son? I thought I'd deal with potatoes on legs, Dad! Sounds great! The magical world was even weirder than he'd thought it would be.

"Right, so, tea," he said, shaking his head and turning away from the window. "How do you go about making it magically?"
bookish_lioness: (Smiling in the sunlight)

[personal profile] bookish_lioness 2013-02-25 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Hermione could tell that Q felt as though he was quickly getting in over his head, and she kept smiling gently, moving to a cupboard to bring down the casual tea tray Mrs. Weasley used.

"It depends on personal preference, really. You can use a charm to heat up the water, or charm a kettle to do the boiling for you. Really, if one wanted to, the whole kitchen could come alive to do its part - a little bit like Beauty and the Beast - but of course that's ridiculous overkill, especially for just a cup of tea."
newschool: (discourse.)

[personal profile] newschool 2013-02-26 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"How do you know about Beauty and the Beast?" Q asked, pleasantly surprised. He took up a post leaning on the counter near where Hermione was working, watching her as she began to make the tea. She had nice hands; clearly very skilled. "I thought you lot were completely divorced from non-magical culture."
