Comment with your character and preferences, being sure to put if you want to play the guard, the guarded, or either. Also, you may want to put if you prefer fluffy, angsty, or smutty interaction - or have no preference. 2. Comment to others. 3. There are no prompts, because there are so many potential options there could be a hundred. Feel free to play anything: the beginnings of the relationship, just meeting, getting used to each other/not getting along at first, the obligatory first time, a threat on the protected's life and how their protector responds, how the feelings between the two have changed the protection, etc. Your only limit is you.

A job was a job. No matter how much it rankled, no matter how much it pricked his pride. And jobs weren't so frequent that he could afford to pass one up, not even one that had him and his closest companions providing security to a house full of vampires while the suckers (literally) wined and dined and pretended to be more sophisticated than they actually were. (Monsters were monsters, in Daemon's book.)

But it paid very well, and half had already been transferred - he'd made sure of that - and so far all seemed quiet, although he'd bet a hundred bucks something would go wrong before the night was over. He and his cohorts were clothed all in black, dark shadows roaming the grounds, and their comms were constantly checked; no problems so far.

After another check in with Qotho and Irran, Daemon stepped into the brightly lit mansion, utilizing a servant's entrance as not to "profane" the gathering. He wasn't above snagging a hors d'oeuvres, or several, and snacked his way down the long corridor leading to the back stairs. On the second floor, he was able to get a good view of the entire party space - the open parlor and cocktail lounge - without being seen himself. Well, usually.

He knew at least one long-tooth would notice him up here; she'd been eyeing him every time he came indoors to make his rounds. Well, so much the better. If he could keep Margaery Tyrell off balance even some of the time, he'd take it. And grind it in her perfect, flawless face later.

When Dick first heard that there were rumours of a villain attack at a high-profile social event in Gotham City, and that the team were being dispatched to guard key attendees, his first feeling was elation. One, a mission on his home turf, and two, working a high-profile social event meant he didn't have to attend a high profile social event.

Then Batman clicked onto the last slide in the intel and his bubble burst immediately.

"Superboy, you'll be in charge of guarding Dick Grayson. He's the son of Bruce Wayne so we suspect he is the most likely to be targeted."

If humans could spontaneously develop laser vision, he would have done in that moment with the way his eyes were boring into Batman from behind his sunglasses - Bruce knew exactly what he was doing, he probably thought this was funny.
Bruce, of course, didn't crack so much as the hint of a smile.

"What about me?" he asked pointedly, but of course Batman was prepared for that.

"You and I have a different mission."

Yea, he knew what that meant.

So here he is, well-tailored suit, styled hair and all, standing in the foyer at the manor while Black Canary nudges Superboy forward.

"Dick, Superboy here will be guarding you this evening. He'll go with you to the party and stay by your side all night. If anything happens, he'll get you out of there, okay?"

Dick forces a smile and holds out a hand "nice to meet you."
