1. proposal {

1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?

2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.

3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.

4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.

5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.

2. marriage {

1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.

2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?

3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.

4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..

5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.

3. after marriage {

1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.

2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.

3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.

4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!

5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

4. domesticity {

1. household chores - it's time to clean/cook/garden/take care of something! do you work together, or does one of you hide until everything is done?

2. shopping - whether it's for furniture, groceries, or something in between, shopping is something that everybody must do at some point in time! what varies is if they like it or not.

3. family vacation - WE'RE OFF TO DIDNEY WOOOOOOOOORL or wherever
... well, as long as the kids are happy, right...? you may not be happy (or maybe you are), but it's mainly about ~family bonding~.

4. romantic retreat - it's you and your loved one's anniversary, and you decide it's time to take some time off and take them somewhere nice, where you only have each other.

5. comfort - is somebody sick in bed? or perhaps they just had a bad day? sometimes, a good breakfast in bed or a home-cooked meal can really lift the spirits! or perhaps you want to try medicine, or laughter, or something else?

6. holiday - happy birthday/New Years/Christmas/Valentine's Day/whatever! it's a very special day that only comes once a year, so make it count!

7. making up -it's time to make amends for that fight/divorce/whatever you had before! after all, you love each other... right?

8. surprise, surprise - you are feeling rather loving tonight, so you want to remind the other person how much you cherish and appreciate them... if it's by something cute and adorable or hot and sexy is completely up to you.

[Any interest in a 500 year old fox trapped in a human body? I'm thinking maybe schoolmates-eventually-turned-more, but I'm open to other ideas. We can also introduce more supernatural theme stuff in the setup if you'd like, since I feel like his setting could just as easily be supernatural rather than quasi-scifi. He can also know as much or as little about her supernatural side as you'd like, since there are interesting RP avenues either way. I'm fine with any prompts, really, although 2-4 and 3-4 would need some planning out to make them IC.]

[ Supernatural themes sounds good to me! And him being completely unaware might be interesting. As far as prompts go, I've been carving softer things lately, so something in 3-1, 3-2, or any of the 4 prompts would work for me, though I'm not terribly picky if you are feeling one of the other ones! ]

[Hmmm hm hm... so one idea I'm having where he's totally unaware is 3-1 with a sprinkling of 4-5/4-7, in which she's been procrastinating on telling him about herself for what she realizes is way too long and she's feeling guilty about it, and ends up surprising him with it in the middle of the wedding night -> apology/reassurance/etc, if that makes sense?]

[ Yeah, that works for me! He's very understanding, so there probably wouldn't be much need for making up or apologizing, though he might have a hard time believing it! I'm good with that if you are. ]

[I'll avoid going into too much detail of crossover AU things for now since I'm only passingly familiar with his setting, but we can mix some of that in as well if you'd like! Protecting humans from curses and malicious supernatural beings is part of her job description, after all. LMK if you need any changes or feel free to retcon if necessary!]

Not so long ago, Hiroe wouldn't have expected to wind up a sincerely blushing bride. She was more than experienced, after all, had been close to many humans whom she'd outlived, and she had grown perhaps a little jaded about such attachments. That isn't to say she wasn't interested, of course, and teasing a cute boy was high on her list of favorite hobbies, and even when they were little, Keiichi had been a favorite target. It wasn't any cruel sort of teasing, really, but unabashed playful flirting--first to annoy him when they were young enough to worry about cooties, and then to fluster him as they grew older.

Until he moved away abruptly.

It was only a couple years later that she chanced to meet him again when she went with her parents to see an art showing by his father. She couldn't resist flirting with him again like in the old days, but they'd both filled in more than a little since they'd last met, and he'd clearly changed in other ways that roused her curiosity. She'd never been very good at resisting curiosity, so she took the opportunity to slip into his dreams to see what she could learn. It was clear he had been through a lot; but rather than making him cynical, bitter, insecure, or distrustful, he'd only become stronger and kinder and more committed to the people he cared for.

Maybe that was the moment she knew she felt differently about him than any other humans she'd known in a long, long time.

She shakes her head clear of that reverie and peeks up at him as they make their way toward the honeymoon suite, smiling demurely and reddening again despite herself, and squeezes his hand delicately, her fingers twined with his. There's a hint of anxiety together with the fondness and anticipation. Although it's easily dismissed as bridal jitters, the truth is a deeper sort of ambivalence; as happy as she is to be with him, she knows how humans can react to sudden supernatural revelations, but she also hates to keep a secret from him. Surely, he deservs to know just what he's getting into, doesn't he? But would he feel betrayed that she hadn't told him sooner? Would he recoil from her? She hadn't felt nearly so comfortable with anyone else outside her family in her life as a human, but that just makes it easier to say something foolish without stopping to think about the consequences.

Without a word, she leans her shoulder against him gently. Sooner or later, she supposes she'll have to let him know, but for the moment, she just wants to enjoy being close to him while there's no pressure.

Just in case.

Keiichi didn't have many pleasant memories of his old life, but Hiroe was one of them. Sure, she'd been a bit of a pain, teasing him like she had, but he'd enjoyed her company. If only he'd confided in her about the difficulties he was having at the fast-paced school his parents had put him in... perhaps then he wouldn't have gotten into trouble. Perhaps then his parents wouldn't have had to abruptly pull him out of that school, out of the city entirely.

He'd made new friends in his new village. But he never really forgot the first one he made, and he often found himself wondering what she was doing. It wasn't until a chance encounter at one of his dad's art shows that he'd reconnected with her, and it was obvious how much things had changed... but not necessarily in a bad way.

And now, here they are, a few years later, walking to their honeymoon suite together. Keiichi can hardly believe that he, of all people, has gotten married. Honestly, he'd never thought he'd see the day. But he's happy... happy, nervous, and excited. He can't wait to properly introduce her to the friends he's made, who he knows will welcome her with open arms. And even more, he's excited to start this new phase of his life with her. That excitement causes him to be more openly affectionate than before, holding her hand more tightly and leaning closer to her as they walk. When he feels her shoulder brushing against him, he cants his head to one side, allowing to to rest against hers.

"Well... here we are," he says in a soft, warm voice as they reach the door to the suite. He turns to her to give her a smile, squeezing her hand gently, before he pulls his hand away to retrieve the key from his pocket. With that, he unlocks it and opens the door for her into what is a surprisingly luxurious, though not ostentatious suite.

Even as content and warm as Hiroe feels when he leans nearer, she can't resist the opportunity to tease him as he opens the door to the honeymoon suite. It's hard enough for a fox to pass up an opportunity for entertainment, no matter the circumstances, but she finds it far too tempting when there's a chance of flustering Keiichi, and even more when he seems so innocent and adorably unaffected. So she peeks up at him, eyes lidded, and pauses just long enough to regain his attention and for him to notice the playful look she gives him.

"...mm. Aren't you supposed to carry me across the threshold?"

While that's sinking in, she takes the opportunity to lean up and kiss his cheek delicately, letting her body brush up against his ever so slightly, as much a tacit promise as it is a tease.

"I will be getting the full bridal experience, won't I..?"

Her innocent (yet not innocent at all) gaze catches his attention, and he turns his head to look at her, his eyebrows raised in surprise. Her teasing question makes his cheeks turn a bright shade of red, a red that only intensifies when she leans in to peck his cheek. The warmth of her body brushes up against him in a way that he could positively swear is meant to be suggestive, but if he calls her on it, he's also certain she'd say she has no idea what he's talking about.

"Ah... ahahaha, w-well, I think that's the point here," he confesses rather bashfully, glancing away and trying his best to ignore the crimson creeping across his cheeks. With that, he turns to her, lowering himself slightly so that he can slide an arm behind her knees and support her back with the other. Among the many blessings granted to him in the years since they first met is that he's gotten appropriately strong, and he uses that strength to pick her up and carry her as a bride might expect.

It's almost surprising to him how easily he's able to support Hiroe's weight. Blushing, embarrassed, yet affectionate, Keiichi makes good on his promise and carries her through the open doorway, nudging it closed behind him with his leg.

"Now... what's the rest of this bridal experience that you're so interested in...?"

Hiroe smiles to herself, watching him with a little more anticipation than she's ready to admit to just yet as he leans down, but she can't help laughing with a softly exclaimed oh! as he sweeps her up off her feet. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she grins up at him as he really does carry her across the threshold, and giggles softly when he attempts to turn the teasing back on her.

"Mm..? Shouldn't I be demure and innocent and have no idea what you've got in store for me?"

She bites her lower lip slightly to suppress that grin, watching him through her eyelashes as she frees one hand to brush his hair back gently. Dignified and in-control as she usually is, she's not one to put up with being carried around most of the time, but she's not only making no protest, but clearly relaxed, savoring being in his arms.

"...or maybe you're not feeling quite that traditional after all the ceremony and the reception, hmm?"

He knows that bright-eyed look of hers that means she isn't remotely done teasing him yet, but such barely-contained giddiness he's only seen a few times. She's always so composed, it stands out to those who know her well.
