Jin Guangyao felt a mixture of apprehension and hope as he boarded the ship. Not that he was afraid of ships or the ocean in general it was the fact that he was leaving the only place he had ever known as home even if home had not always been a welcoming place. It was what he knew. And yet, it was exciting as well. He had never been outside of middle country. He was eager to see what new languages he might learn. Maybe he would start with Kim Shin's.

He still had some reservations about getting close to Kim Shin again. If the man were not immortal, he would have hesitated to go through with it at all. Guangyao had thus far only ever disappointed his loved ones or lead them to their demise. It was still hard to believe that Kim Shin would want anything to do with him. On the other hand, he also didn't want to be without him ever again. It was selfish. He practically soaked up the attention that the other gave him and though he had not admitted it out loud, he thrived on the physical contact that sharing a bed with someone gave him. He never thought that that would be a thing that would make him feel safe ever again after his marriage.

He didn't know if it was he or Kim Shin that slid their hand into the others first, but it steadied his racing mind.
