π¬π«π π’, further back in years than anyone alive could remember, there is a land that even time has forgotten, filled to the brim with magic and mystery both good and ill. This is where you make your home. Who you are in this kingdom - or many kingdoms - is as varied as the blades of grass that spread over this lush terrain. You could be a petulant princess, a delving dwarf, a highway man with more than a few secrets, a devoted knight, a mage of ancient spellcraft, or even an ageless elf. No matter your station, though, one thing is for certain: whatever life you lead, it's about to get a great deal more exciting. There is a war brewing, somehow, somewhere, and the peace of your homelands is at stake. You are the only one who can set things right and go on a quest to save everyone.
Still, what is an adventure without an adventure of the heart? You are not alone, and you'll find that trying times can forge ironclad emotions. Of course, you'll find that the path of love is no easier here than anywhere else, be the person you admire an arranged fiancΓ© you're not too fond of at first, a forbidden object of desire, a traveling companion, an enemy, a lifelong friend, an ally...or another species from you entirely. Yet, in any case, this is no time for romance, is it? Only moments can be stolen, and you must set aside your feelings for the greater good.
In this time, in this place, will you get your happy ending, or will this story prove to be a much darker fantasy?

Was a rough life, but it was better than being forced to fight for a bunch of rich folk who didn't care about those they stepped on so long as they could move their borders a bit further out.
But it didn't mean he wouldn't lend a helping hand where he could.
He'd been out hunting when he spotted recent horse tracks and a lot of blood. He followed the path on, guessing a fight took place and someone was pursued. Broken brush and branches opened up over a sudden drop of a cliff. He peered out over it, at the bottom of a forty foot drop were four horses and riders strewn about.
He found a way down and around to the bottom safely and went from one broken creature to another, needing to put one of the horses out of its misery as it whined in pain. Three soldiers from Kingdom of Bastards Number One. He went through their pockets for coin and anything of value before moving on to the last who was dressed from the Kingdom of Bastards Number Two.
A woman as a soldier? Must be running out of idiot men he mused, then frowned as he heard a noise when he moved her. Did she...? He pressed a couple fingers against her throat, finding a weak but steady pulse. She was alive.
He sighed. "Aw hell..." he said to himself.
He whistled for his horse, double checking the other soldiers to see if they were indeed dead before scooping her up into his arms. A white Arabian mare picked her way down a safe slope to him obediently. Arthur laid the mystery women over her back and led her along back to his camp.
It was a humble set up beneath a rocky ledge with a tent, banked campfire, and a wooden rack of animal pelts drying. He removed the soldier off the mare and set her carefully in his tent, and began to work her armor off and find where she was injured.

When she awoke, it was instinctive, sudden, years of training pulling her out of blissful sleep as she felt hands touching at the clasps of her armor. And despite every nerve ending in her system screaming at her not to, Diana shoved away those strange hands and felt around for the tiny dagger that she kept in her belt, blinking slowly as she tried to regulate her breathing into something more steady - her whole body just felt so heavy, when was the last time she had been injured like this? She couldn't remember - and focus her gaze so the cloudy patch of colors resembled something more human.
"Who are you?" she gasped out, ignoring the shaking of her hand, the way her vision weaved in and out so much that she couldn't even see the individual's face, or properly make sense of what colors they wore. Diana would die before allowing her honor to be besmirched. "And what do you want?"
sry should have added more the first time
He'd just gotten the clasps undone when Arthur jumped as she suddenly grabbed for a dagger and waved it at him. She was in rough shape but there was strength behind her still it seemed. He grabbed her wrist to keep her from striking him, or hurting herself more.
"Easy there, tryin' help is all! You took one hell of a fall, lucky you didn't break your neck like your horse did, sorry to say." he said trying to calm her. "Ain't gonna harm ya, promise." He carefully tried to pulled the dagger out of her hand.
