Vampires procreate like humans do, and then there's the ex-human class. Only purebloods have the capability of turning a human into a vampire.

"Ex-human class" . Is "class" like a society thing or just a group name?

Both, in a way. Vampires make up an entire society of their own. There are four classes which fall on a pyramid scale. The higher up, the less human blood in their lineage, and the more powerful they are. Level D's are ex-humans, Level C's are common vampires, Level B's are aristocrats, or the noble class, and Level A's are purebloods. There's also a Level E, or the "end level," which technically is off of the scale altogether.

"aristocrats"? "noble"? Is that just blood based? Or is it a money thing too?

[ sounds as bothersome as jujutsu clan politics....but megumi can't sleep and he's interested in How Things Work even if he doesn't agree with them and, by and large, feels they have nothing to do with him. ]

Both, in ways. There are many who hold occupations in the media and entertainment, as well as business leaders and CEOs, as well as those in the science field.

It still is heavily based off of their blood and DNA.

Nope. I'm fine with the way I am and wouldn't change anything. My co-workers earlier on just had to deal with it.
