[Charles really should have told Hank to not use the main kitchen for experiments. Though why he should have been baking cupcakes is beyond him.

[Yup, Charles is greeted by a very pleased looking Logan greeting him around a mouthful of food. On the counter is a tray of cupcakes, a few have obviously been picked off. It's also not good that a 'Please do not touch' sign is sitting in the trash can, or that a 'Help yourself!' sign in Bobby's handwriting has been taped to the plate.]

You gotta have one.

[Charles can see this is not a good situation right off the bat. He puts on his best patient but slightly worried face, taking a step towards Logan.]

How many have you consumed? [He picks up the plate, trying to judge from the missing spots.]

[Logan eyed the plate for a moment, considering whether or not he wanted to tell the truth. He knew that look that Charles got, but he's just not sure why he's getting it. Someone baked cupcakes for everyone, and he ate... a few, so what? It suddenly struck him, maybe he was getting 'the look' because Charles thought, and thought correctly, that Logan had taken more than one before anyone else had had any.]

Just one. [He lied with a chocolatey brown grin.] Seriously, though, Chuck, those things are good.

[Ah, so that is how he wished to play it. Charles now has a flat look before clearing his throat. Rather like a doctor about to give bad news.]

Mr. Logan, what if I told you these were made by Dr. McCoy?

[He glanced back down at the cupcakes, pursing his lips and frowning slightly as he reconsidered them.]

I'd honestly be kinda surprised they weren't more... y'know, like Twinkies.

Wait... [he searched Charles' expression for a minute before his focus darted back to the cupcakes]... you don't mean 'experiment' made them, do ya?

[He tilted his head to the side, scratching earnestly at his left ear. Both felt itchy, annoyingly so.] If this is some kinda prank war between Bobby and Hank, and I'm caught in the middle of it, again, I swear, Chuck, things ain't gonna end pretty.

I shouldn't doubt it, but... [At this, he pulls out the old sign, holding it up so he can see] You should probably ask before eating something set out in the kitchen from now on.

[Closing his eyes and putting two fingers against his temple, he finds Dr. McCoy in his lab and asks a few pertinent questions.]

It's related to DNA research...

Oh, c'mon! [He snatched the sign from Charles, crumples it up and throws it back in the trash can.] I ain't gonna ask permission anytime I wanna get somethin' to eat. That's ridiculous, Chuck. I thought we built labs for a reason, bub.

[He grunts and once again pauses to scratch, this time his other ear, which is starting to look much less human and a lot more like, well, a wolverine's, small, fuzzy and round.]

He did this on purpose, Chuck. There were sprinkles on those! Who puts sprinkles on a god damn experiment?!

[Charles can see he is going to need to mediate this one once again.]

I'll speak to Hank about keeping experiments out of the kitchen. Perhaps he can have a small kitchenette...

[That sentence sort of trails off as he watches the ears taking a different shape.] Perhaps we should step outside for some air.

[Logan feels a weird wave of nausea and he barely manages to shake his head at Charles' offer, taking a step back like he was ready to shrink back into a more defensible corner and fight Charles on going outside.]

Don't feel good. Can't go out there.

[His words are a little harder to understand, his teeth seem to be changing as well, pointier and much less human now. They match the small sharp claws that have taken the place of his fingernails.]

Get him to stop this, Chuck. He's gotta have somethin'.

[This was quickly getting out of hand. Charles in his infinite calm tries to transfer some of it to Logan.]

Breathe, Logan, slowly. Your DNA is changing, we won't be able to change it back till it stabilizes.

[He stays where he is though, one does not walk towards a frightened animal. The same applies for humans.]

[Logan, being a little busy focusing on the transformation his body is going through, misses the psychic prodding for half a moment, but when he does feel it his shields go up immediately.]

Stay out. [The words are a snarled warning, baring his newly pointier teeth at Charles. After all of the experimentation he'd suffered through, all of the brainwashing and mind control, he's learned some basics, and despite the fact that Charles is trying to help, he wants none of it.]

Ugh, you gotta be shittin' me. A tail? What the hell am I even turning into?!

[Charles does keep his prodding to a minimum after that but still standing by in case things go from bad to worse. He regards the small rounded ears, the thicker dark hair, the tail...]

Possibly...a Gulo gulo. [Which he finds very ironic, but Charles knows the irony would not be appreciated by Logan. Hence the use of the Latin name.]

... glutton? You mean a god damn wolverine? [If Charles thought Logan hadn't heard just about every name that the wolverine was called, he was wrong.]

Ask Hank how the hell you stop this. Please. [Charles gained himself another flash of teeth when Logan growled out the 'please'. He was obviously not happy about this, though it seemed as though the transformation had rolled to a halt.]

[ Nero didn't know what to think about the cupcakes that had shown up in the kitchen, but he wasn't going to complain about them. This one was white with blue sprinkles; the colors were what kind of grabbed him, if anyone could judge from his usual wardrobe. He devoured it rather voraciously and was licking some of the frosting off of his clawed hand when he noticed Ragna walking in. ]

Where'd these things come from?

[ He nodded to the remaining cupcakes, not yet under the effects of the one he had consumed. ]

( ooc; We don't have to go the smut route. Nero could just be compelled to be obedient or something. )

[Walking into the kitchen, he was more surprised by the person standing there than the cupcakes. Or rather the clawed, glowing arm he was sporting, to be exact. Ragna wouldn't ever walk around like that, not with how many people were after his Azure Grimoire. He only finally noticed the cupcakes when Nero motioned to them.]

Got me. I didn't see anyone bringing them in.

[He walked over to them, picking a random one up.]

(ooc: Pffft, we can just see how it goes? Smut just makes me brain harder so for a new character it freaks me out more... I'm up for it, I am just a bundle of nerves.)
