Whatever reason Gee has to be in the woods, he's managed to stumble right across the site of some sort of hinky ritual magic. Burnt candles, spilled blood, all of it recent, fresh. There is, apparently, some sort of strange blood sorceror in the area. Perhaps still close.

It's hard to say what the purpose of the ritual was, but there's a circle drawn, and if he actually spends time examining the area in the center, there's the cracked remains of a ceramic bowl, blood stuck to the inside.

Over the weekend, there was a crash at Deadman's Bend. This isn't news, this sort of thing happens all the time. The Bend got its name for a reason. But the victim was a teenager, just a few months after getting his driver's license--so there's a definite chance he left a ghost.

And that's why Bash is at the bend, just to check and see if there's someone who needs help moving on. It's sort of his job.

Little does he know, he's not the only entity with an intimate relationship with 'death on a lonely road' around tonight.

Still, the tall, lanky man is beginning his investigation, a cigarette hanging from his lips as he walks along the shoulder. There's an iron lantern hanging from his belt, lit with an eerie silver-white light that attracts ghosts.

Lucifer always kept his promises. He was listening, always to the people in the desert. Their throbbing heartbeat tangling with noise and survival. That's some colorful imagery there. I like the part about the dogs, and howling. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that there are always wolves at the door, and sometimes there are wolves inside us as well. They're always hungry.
