{ It has been decades since Tissaia had taken her in and shown her the realities of true magic. It has also been decades since she had transformed, her hunger for power now etched upon her soul. She had rebelled against the placement and prejudice for her Elven blood. The council still decided to make their decision without consulting her. They were not only sending her far away, but to a place she had only heard rumors about. There were political wars brewing and the more chaos that appeared, the more kingdoms were requesting protection. They wanted mages to fight on their side, use them as decorative props in their cause.

She was being sent to Westeros to assist House Tyrell, into unknown land to fend by herself. Yennefer wanted all the older mages that sought to see her fail to wither in an undignified manner. Tissaia had broken the news to her on the verge of her nearly breaking free from furthering anymore protection on the council’s behalf. The fiasco with the baby had been enough to make her contemplate the rigged system. Yet, she had remained to play the game.

If you seek power, you must endure it all. Tissaia had always been a reminder of Yennefer’s goals in the sense that she sought to become more than she ever could. She would hold her head high.

The trip did not take long once she had mastered elements of teleportation. It only got her so far before she had to take the rest of the trip by horse. She had an idea of where she was going to be placed. Apparently being married to the king meant to rule all of Westeros, precluded a Queen from being at peace. Once she was behind the walls of the kingdom, she couldn’t help but notice the energy. The further she ventured, the more she realized she had stepped into a land that acknowledged magic, but never sought to embrace it. She would have her work cut out for her.

“Ah, you look younger than I thought, child. I take your trip went well?” Yennefer had been waiting to be ushered further into the building when she heard an elderly voice. She turned to see a woman that looked as if she had seen a lot, her contemplative stare fixated on her with curiosity. She bowed slightly, her training kicking in as she allowed a mask to settle over her face. }

I have lived many decades beyond your age. Yennefer of Vengerberg at your service.

Her features nearly changed into interest when she heard that. }
