Hi. Hope this letter finds you alright. I imagine it will, and in record time, as I can't imagine the messenger god of Olympus is capable of anything less than impeccable service, even in service of someone like me, or in the delivery of a letter as unremarkable as I plan to make this one.
Yes, that's right. There's nothing of substance here that's really important to relay. Only I never thought to write you a letter before, so when the conversation with Hermes came around to it, I thought I'd like to. Great idea, isn't it? Now I can talk to you while you're on Earth without suffering a horrible, untimely death meanwhile.
As I've begun writing it though, I realize that I have nothing else to say. Except, of course, that I'm thinking of you as always, and I hope you'll write me back.
