[Sora's just completed his pillow fort, and it's stuffed full of a tooth-rotting quantity of candy and he's got a foot tall stack of boxes with freshly baked pizza inside of them. There're letre bottles of various sodas and a couple cartons of juice. He's just putting the finishing touches on the outside of his fort-- a brightly patterned blanket and a construction paper triangle taped to a pencil in the guise of a flag. It has a giant 'S' on it written with sharpie. He places it on top of the fort and ducks back inside.

He grips a pillow tight, waiting for some poor soul to come wandering by. Whomever can get passed him will be permitted to enter!]

[Across the room from Sora is a SECOND pillow fort. It doesn't have quite as grand a selection of snacks, but it DOES block Sora's view on the TV. Whatever they're watching over there, it has lots of explosions.

After the gunfire dies down, Parley peeks her head over the battlements.]

[SHIELD still won't allow the Internal Intern a taser gun. They still won't allow her to carry one on her person anymore. Or at the least when she's at work. So what does this little Intern of SHIELD going to do during one of these long shifts? She's going to bring in a nerf guns, steal little office knacks, and confiscate all the straws and the like from SHIELD cafeteria.

Now there's not a lot of couches on the sofas in the work lounges, but she deals with moving the couches around and using what pillows she had to protect herself from fellow attackers. It's all a bunch of work for a seemingly lazy former intern of Dr. Jane Foster but Darcy? Darcy is bored. And she is in the work lounge where the snack machine is at. So.

So.

[Kevin is a long standing veteran of pillow wars. And, he cheats. So, instead of going in himself, he sends in Mimsy with a bright pink bow around her neck. Up until now, he's kept the puppy pretty much out of sight, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

He nudges her in and encourages her to go after the fort. She wanders over in that direction and attempts to climb the pillow barrier, whining when she can't.

[this is what happens when too much time passes between interesting missions; too many milk runs and the "distinguished" captain of the uss enterprise gathers all the tables and chairs in rec room c and makes a pillow fort. the admiralty is going to have a heart attack when they get the inquisition for all the pillows and blankets he replicated, but as far as kirk is concerned it's totally worth it. there's a sign outside the rec room that reads, "fort of the bored. enter at own risk."]

[Spock regarded the sign, and subsequently the door, with the sort of disaffected stare only a vulcan could ever really master.

He should just walk away, continue down the hall and leave this entire situation alone.... Unfortunately, over the course of several generally lackluster missions, he'd learned exactly what occurred when James T. Kirk was bored and left to his own devices. He'd also learned that it was often his duty to correct the situation before it got out of hand. It was hard to predict how a recreational fort (just what that involved he wasn't certain) could go awry but if anyone could find a way, it was James T. Kirk.

So, with his instrument still tucked under his arm, in stead of going to either of the alternate recreational rooms, Spock entered. He was silent for a long moment as he processed what he was looking at.
