Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... [ It was a long night and the night just got a hell of a lot longer. 20 infected in and 2 hunters down had him at more than little wear for tear. Unfortunately, that left his bike in A LOT of wear for tear in one hell of a crash. He was lucky that it didn't catch fire. Nonetheless, it didn't look like he was going anywhere any time soon, at least on wheels. The bike was wrecked and he was pretty sure that his shoulder was busted up worse than what it actually felt like, which left him with limited movement to reach a nasty gash at the middle of his back. The good part was that those sons of bitches finally let up after taking heat from an unexpected run-in with the BSAA, which he equally wanted to try to avoid -- particularly one specific person who he'd owe TWICE now for saving his ass. However, there were more pressing matters that he was a bit more concerned with. As quick as he was to heal overall, that wound wasn't healing nearly as fast as he'd like, and if he didn't do something to take care of it, he'd be in for a bigger problem than the one he just encountered.

Jake hadn't bothered to ask how she was doing before scouting out what looked like an abandoned motel. Hopefully, one that still had access to running water. It wasn't the most ideal situation. However, one had to make do with what was around during desperate times where things like a working faucet or a non-infected area were few and far between, and this place looked like it might be at least one of the two. ]

Looks like that's my next stop-- [ He almost goes to instinctively point before his wounds remind him of his limited mobility in his upper body. With an involuntary wince he lets out a not so involuntary choice word. ] shit... [ Like it's nothing, he intends to leave without room for conversation. Forget that any of this happened and try to catch a break. However, he knows all too well that's hardly how any of this ever works out, and if he knows her like he thinks he does? he's probably not going to get rid of her that easily.

It's not long before he's making his way towards the motel and to a poorly boarded up window of one of the rooms. Carefully, he tries to peer in through the cracks to get a view into the room. It's dark, but there doesn't appear to be any movement. He has one in the chamber in case there are any surprises. but other than that, he's limited to his knife -- which he prefers anyway when his dominant hand isn't being held back by a shoulder and back injury. He takes a few steps back, readying himself to kick in the loose boards. ]
