Clint doesn't mean to be a bad friend. Or fuck-buddy, or bro with benefits... whatever they are. Were. Might be. But it still must have seemed like a dick move to ghost the guy that he'd spent so much time bonding with over violence, vigilantism, and greasy take-out.

He'd even let Jason meet his dog. That was some pretty heavy shit right there.

Turns out finding someone with a secret identity in a stupidly big and mostly unfamiliar city filled with other like-minded (and bat or bird-themed) vigilantes was challenging. Even for a guy like him, who had like, actual resources... kinda.

It was his fault for losing Todd's number, or rather, breaking the one burner phone that said number was saved. Though to be fair he'd also broken a few of his favorite bones at the same time, and because Clint is a squishy human and slow to heal it had taken a couple of months before he can finally pack up his bad-ass ninja gear and take a road trip to bat-country.

He only gets threatened twice and kind of beaten up once before finally finds his way to one of Jason's usual haunts. And of course he means to just lay low for a while. If they don't cross paths tonight then he's sure he's made enough (subtle) noise that Todd will come find him if he wants.

If not, well.

What he doesn't mean is to end up in a fistfight with a couple of guys possessing a limited slur-less vocabulary that starts somewhere in the middle of a seedy bar and ends up out in the alley out back.
