anyway, you'd really be surprised! it's not just toriel and sansy, now! when i started telling the same jokes, everyone loves telling bad jokes among our friend group. monster kid did this great noisemaker prank to undyne, it was great! well except for the part where undyne had monster kid do 100 push ups and sit ups afterward.
maybe it's because i was so nice to everyone, and because they're so thankful to be out of those caves.

[It's a good thing this is a text conversation - rather than phone or in person - for Papyrus's ability to keep up a confident and positive front. If Frisk could hear his voice or see his face, it'd be all too easy for them to detect how unsettled he is by those blatant admissions of unhappiness.

The references to other, modern. wars on the news... All these television programs where humans argue about awful things, raising their voices like volume makes the more convincing stance - which he can almost relate to, except for how they're always interrupting each other the moment they see an excuse, and without even waiting for the ends of sentences. Terrible.]

the same jokes do get old... especially when the punchline is making someone else feel bad or lesser. how could that ever be funny? what's so humorous about making someone cry and run from you?

If any of Frisk's friends from the underground KNEW the true extent of how other humans, especially humans their age who they interacted with the most, were acting and doing, there's no telling what Frisk's friends would do. Maybe not Papyrus, he was pretty harmless, but if Undyne or Asgore or Toriel or Sans found out...or especially if word somehow reached Asriel...it would not be pretty. It might even start another "War between Monsters and Humans" after so many strides in relations after the barrier's fall...but Frisk wanted to be honest with Papyrus. To make the point that some humor would never be funny.... when it hurts someone. Especially if it's repeated to that someone over and over. But this was getting depressing again. time to take Papyrus's joke endoresement to break the ice and lighten the mood again. Frisk needed to stop thinking about this.]

well, i learned a lot about organization and planning things out from our really smart friends. alphys, blooky, metaton, even sansy! he might be lazy but he's really good at keeping himself organized and together and manages his time in smart ways, though at times it seems like he can be multiple places at once or just gets around really quick to be so on time.
