The Client: You were looking for a little fun and you didn't mind paying. Or, on the other hand, you might have just stumbled into a den of iniquity on accident or for other business entirely. One thing's for certain...one person's caught your eye, and whether it be love at first sight or an arduous process, you want better things for them. What do you plan? A rescue? Beating up anyone who'd hurt them? Be careful you don't get hurt in the process, whether it be at the hands the criminal element that plagues the shadowy side of life or, unfortunately, at the hands of the one you care for most. [It's late into the night, the noises of the city buzzing all around him. He's pocketed his business phone for the evening, focused on a particular rumor that's been spoken in hushed tones and whispered tongues. As a man of opportunity, Giran is highly interested if this rumor comes to fruition.

Eventually, he has to turn to dark alleys, where the chit-chat and laughs of the city turn into quiet moans or groans of pain. It's filthy all around him, but it feels like home. It's not surprise to see the occasional fuck against the dirty alley walls, or the slumped figures to those high on drugs.

With a sigh, he blows smoke into the air before taking one last drag of his cigarette, and flicking it off to the ground.

Giran travels further until he comes across the building he's interested in. A few little rumors earlier told him of a boy, young, with an interesting quirk. Apparently it had been shown in a heat of a moment, against a nameless John who sought to stiff the boy of his time. And Giran was always looking to find what he could for his clients. From what he's dug up himself, the boy is new to the area possibly. If he truly was young and new, it could make his work a little easier. The younger ones were easier to manipulate.

But, if Giran was being honest, he knows exactly why he's truly interested in this little doll. Of the few rumors he's heard, there was one that was rather striking. Naturally, Giran was going to test it for himself.

Once confirming the run-down building to be his location, the broker let himself inside, eyes scanning in the neglected hall. There were a few screams, none of which deterred him. Giran continued until he came across the building number, where he notes the door is unlocked and cracked open.

[Worker or client. Any verse, though Glenn's default is sci-fi (but as a galaxy-traveler, he can end up in others just as easily.) Glenn's general life has been without physical contact at all (out of necessity, primarily) and I could see him in either role to finally break that cycle of going without.

[As the worker, he likely discovers that he also likes getting paid for such things, given that he's half-alien and that manifests as the unique experience via tentacles. On the other hand, he makes a living from selling knowledge he's accrued as well as doing machine repairs (as a shapeshifter, he's capable of mimicking even inorganic materials and then just breaking it off of himself. There, remade part!) As a client, he's not precisely poor, and given his unusual manner, he'd likely pay more than the worker's asking price.

[That said, he comes with several issues and is definitely self-destructive in several ways, and could really benefit from professional mental help. XD; As a shapeshifter, he's also capable of unusual shifting that may result in squeamishness (such as: being able to split his tongue in half, or forming eyes from random parts of his body,) so please let me know if you'd rather any types of shifting to be off-limits for you!]

( It’s a slow night at the Honeybee Inn. Might have plenty to do with a rise in crime as of late, more than the folks at Shinra seem invested in keeping down. Because none of it seems to get in the way of all their projects, why would they bother? Instead, they’ve been outsourcing their dirty work to all sorts of mercenaries and bounty hunters, many of whom have taken to very loose interpretations of law and order. That’s made Midgar’s slums more difficult to navigate than they already are, especially for the inn’s regular patrons - deep pockets having always made up for their delicate constitutions. One of the causes for these recent disturbances steps into the establishment, flashing a membership card on the way in. Saying nothing, his helmet betrays no feeling about his presence here. For all his visible composure, however, he’s never too comfortable in his surroundings - a gloved hand hovers by his holster as if ready to draw his weapon at a moment’s notice.

His card’s still in his other hand when he happens upon a young woman awaiting clients. Seems straightforward enough from here. )

( 'kay, so, lemme sell you on this idea I cooked up: Usagi's neither client nor worker. Instead, she befriends an escort who, through her innocence and sheltered obliviousness - and tendency to assume the best of the world - she doesn't recognize as such. Feelings and hijinks ensue. If you want to do an angle where your character attempts to keep her in the dark, I'm open to it. In fact...that'd be a lot of fun.

Should she actually learn the truth, there's another twist in store. Purest of hearts, sunshine-rainbows-and-butterflies, "trust in the world" Usagi doesn't judge them. No casting aside, no seeing them as "dirty."
