[She looks from one to the other. Heaven forbid she should wind up a third wheel here. Ultimately the decision is Ritsuka's. Orihime's very easy-going, she's up for anything.]

raising the camera, he makes a first photo of the cheerful two before reaching into his pocket to fish out his almost empty cigarette pack—shamelessly ignoring the no smoking sign behind him. )

[Welp, that's all Orihime needs to go charging off, cackling with glee as she races with Ritsuka to the payment counter. She helps him with his gear before fixing her own in place, then raises her laser pistol. It's definitely good to see Ritsuka enjoy himself and feel free to act his age. And if Orihime gets to play action adventure hero too, so much the better!]

[ Excited and prepped, he follows Orihime to the battle ground and gives a salute back before racing to his own starting point, observing his weapon carefully to make himself familiar with everything before the game begins. He hasn’t played laser tag in a long, long time. Maybe never—he can’t remember. ]

( the signs of free will aren't exactly frequent but he does pretend not to hear anything as ritsuka tells him to get rid of the cigarette. especially since the woman behind the counter is equally eager to pretend it's not her job to confront him.

instead he just waves back with a smile, already making plenty of pictures of the two of you preparing for battle. )

He thinks he’s figured out the basics already—he’s a fast learner and a good gamer—so he focuses his gun on you and begins attack, making sure to keep himself covered enough to avoid any damage himself. ]

( finding the night setting on the camera is a little tricky but by the time he has sneaked passed the counter he has already found the right commands. leaning towards the wall he raises the camera and scans the room for signs of the kids. he'll make sure to make plenty of pictures of them both—knowing how much ritsuka values his friends.

he keeps the device as well hidden as possible, however, as he would hate to spoil their fun by revealing their positions with the blitz. )

[THERE! Ritsuka's leaping out to attack, so Orihime does the same, strafing erratically.]
