[Today has been, for lack of a better term, long and drawn out. Her job is very taxing, dealing with the deceased never gets old, but can sometimes be mentally fatiguing. She's had a bit of conflict with her boss over staying late and not participating in his after-work social outings. She needs a break, and what better way to disconnect from mortal issues than to seek out understanding demonic Goetia company. Olivia feels at peace getting to spend time with someone who likes to read books or to stare up at the night sky looking for constellations. She has no idea what mood Octavia will be in, but coffee and snacks help, right?]

[Gently, she places a free hand on Octavia's shoulder upon arrival, smiling the entire time while holding up a paper to-go container with two coffees resting inside.]

"Hey...Sorry to have kept you waiting. It took me forever to get out of work and the coffee shop was surprisingly busy this evening, but I got your usual drink." [Under her arm is a small bag full of treats.] "The cafe gave me some cinnamon rolls free of charge. I figured it would be nice to have some snacks if we go stargazing this evening?"

It's easier to maintain distance from people when you don't actually let them touch you. But it's never stopped Glenn from developing attachments all the same, distant though they may be.

But generally, the attachments of his most-recent past were not towards people. And so, accepting Dorian's touch, however its nature of pure curiosity, reminds Glenn, however uncomfortably, of what he's gone without. And for how long he's gone without it.

But it's still a little nerve-wracking to even acknowledge these desires again, and as part Igaes, his desire to be within a community of people, to have people to protect, only makes it worse. He can't let himself get too attached, though. From what he can tell, he'll still outlive everyone and barely have any gray in his hair by the time the people of this generation pass of old age.

And so he slinks toward wherever Dorian may happen to be, using his sense of smell to find him (for not the first time, he's struck by how nice he smells,) and he has to stifle the distinct urge to transform into his dog-like form just to shove his head against Dorian's leg and hope for head-pats. He does wonder about that - if he'd enjoy petting something with the body of the wolf, the hybrid paws of a dog and a dragon, and the ears of a nug.

He'd have the barrier of fur between them. But... would it be so bad to ask for touch as a human?

The thought makes his head spin and his stomach flip with nervousness. Fortunately, he keeps his expression relatively calm - up until he finds Dorian.

He lightly knocks on the nearest wall, though for Glenn, the control required for such a normal task may as well be as delicate a tap to the shoulder with a single finger.

"My apologies for the interruption; are you busy, Dorian?" His expression very faintly pinches as he feels as if he'd stepped off a high place and is now falling uncomfortably far.

That all night truck stop on the interstate should be open too."
