[Winter's wrath is still in full effect on the surface, a very inhospitable backdrop for the Prince's latest escape attempt.

Hypnos doesn't need to go to the surface very often. Mortals tend to figure out his thing on their own, and they're not nearly so reluctant about sleep as they are death.

But he's gotten reeeeeeeal curious lately. "Reacted"? "Natural causes"? Nobody will tell him what those things mean. So he heads up topside, which is not nearly the ordeal it is for Zagreus. Hypnos is allowed to come and go as he pleases (though Lord Hades gives him a long glare and a growled command about 'not forgetting about his upcoming shift this time').

There's a trail of footprints in the snow, iced over from where they were melted by burning feet and froze back over. Hypnos follows them, hovering just above the snow. They end at a cave, and Hypnos ducks inside.]

You know, you should try not to fall asleep in this cold. That's a surefire way to go from my domain to my brother's!
