The Kissing Scars Meme

Despite the romanticism surrounding the emotion, it can be difficult to be loved completely — not just the beautiful parts of us, but also the sad parts, the injured parts, the hidden and less-than-pleasant parts. There are marks on us, both physical and mental, that we'd often rather forget. The mental ones can just be easier to hide. As for physical scars, they can be off of our minds some of the time, but that's exceedingly hard to do in more intimate, close moments. Whether it's to your dismay or otherwise, your partner is not looking away and ignoring your scars. To the contrary, they're providing attention in a way most heavily associated with tenderness: kissing. It may be an accidental slip off target, or they may be trying to show you that what you've done and who you've been don't matter to them now. Does the gesture touch you? Make the walls come up once again because of the memories that are dredged from somewhere you'd rather no go? A mixture of both? The wound has long closed, yet the pains remains; these days, however, there's someone who may be willing to help you bear it. Reply with the usual: canon, character, preferences, et al. You may also want to say if you're down for smut or not, since it's not a given. Be sure to include what side you'd like your character to play. Mention if you can do both the kisser and the kissed. Also, feel free to talk about your character's scars. Reply to others.

[Shouto's sitting by Katsuki's bedside. He's sitting there because it's one of the few places people are actually leaving him alone at. Physically, out of the three of them, he's been the less injured, Izuku's arms and legs undergoing treatment right now. Katsuki's wounds had been more pressing to attend to, so he'd been treated first.

But he's alright, thankfully. They were able to stop the fight within enough time to save those who had been injured, even though many would definitely have scars that would be left behind.

Katsuki will probably have a scar on his stomach now, Shouto thinks almost idly to himself, his mind in a sort of apathetic detached state now that the fight is over with. Izuku will surely have more added to his limbs. And Aizawa...

So many new scars.

He's avoiding the inevitable, he knows. Once he leaves the hospital or even goes outside of this room, he'll have to deal with knowing things he didn't know yesterday now. He doesn't want to deal with it just yet, though. He just... wants to be Shouto for a little bit longer, the Shouto who can just be himself with Izuku and Katsuki. He can't be with Izuku right now, so he's sitting by Katsuki's side, staring out the window with one hand resting lightly over Katsuki's.

The blonde might complain about it, but he's not awake to be able to tell him to knock the PDA off, and they're alone anyway, so he just squeezes his hand a little tighter and continues staring at the world outside he doesn't want to deal with just yet.]

[Natsuo can't concentrate at the paperwork on his desk, mind too busy evaluating other problems that are going on with his life. For one, he had Dabi in his bedroom, laying on his bed, discussing the principles of some other villain referred to as the Hero Killer. Natsuo lets him talk but it does interfere with his studying, so he's close to calling it a night in terms of schoolwork. The exam was within a few days, so he had plenty more time to work on it.

Of course, discussing what was right and wrong with his brother, a very much wanted villain, wasn't a topic he exactly wanted to focus on. Natsuo had hoped he could originally keep his brother safe upon discovery of him, even tempted to run away and never look back. They could hide out in the mountains, safe in a small hut where Endeavor's legacy couldn't reach them.

However, it wasn't that simple. It never was that simple.

And if Natsuo was being honest, maybe he can find a way to also heal Touya, like he desired to do the same for their mother. His older brother was a walking zombie practically. He deserved a second chance. All of this wasn't his fault. There was only one man responsible for Touya's life, and here that man was, the Number One Hero. It just wasn't fair.

With a quiet, almost defeated sigh, Natsuo pulls away from the desk, running a hand through his hair as he gets to his feet. He gives a look over to his brother, eyes scanning and detailing the marks that covered that body. How far did it go beneath clothes? How much mental or emotional damage was there? They've lived the same life, but with different outcomes. Touya had receive the brunt of it all.]
