Ruling children never had the privilege of finding their own love, living their own lives. Even if their parents had done so before them sometimes, as Aegon's had. Lyanna had helped to tame his wild black curls, so much like her own, back into a bun to keep him clean looking and out of his face, though part of him wished they were free as he stood at attention and watched the Egpytian family enter the throne room.

Considering there are three boys and a girl, it's easy for his gray eyes to focus on the woman that has already been named his betrothed. Cleopatra Selene. He's not been told too much about the family, or Egypt, and he's pretty sure part of that is so that he can talk to her, get to know her as a whole on his own instead of having any preconceived notions about his betrothed, her family, or where she's from.

When it's time in the introductions, Aegon will step forward and bow to Selene and her family. Though his gray eyes are mostly on her, for she is extremely beautiful. And after a moment, he steps closer still and offers her a small box. It's an ornately carved wooden box that when opened will reveal a gold filagree bracelet. "Welcome to King's Landing. I hope you like it. I.. had it made special for your arrival." Told in enough time to figure out some kind of welcoming present for his betrothed. It wasn't necessarily customary for him to do so, but he'd wanted to try and figure out something that might make her feel welcome here like this wasn't completely what it was. The two of them being forced together.

A truce. When King Stilinski offered a truce in a war that lasted far too long, he didn’t take in consideration about what his son would think about it. Or if Stiles would protest being the main part of the truce. King Noah Stilinski was more concerned about his kingdom which would be unable to survive another decade if the war with the werewolves and supernaturals continued.

Luckily is seemed that the royal families from both countries wanted peace. So the Kings met and hammered out a truce uniting their lands with a royal marriage: King Peter, who hadn’t taken a consort, and crown Prince Stiles would be wed. Stiles was an human omega which was rare, though not as rare as a human alpha, as humans tend to be betas and nothing else. Even the king was a beta so it was a surprise when Stiles became an omega. But because Stiles was an omega would be able to have children. So it was decided the first child born from their marriage would be the heir to the supernatural crown and the second child born would be the heir to the human crown.

Today was the day that Stiles and his personal guard were to arrive at the Hale castle. Stiles’ father would come to sign the treaty and be there for the wedding in a few days. Stiles arrived early so he could get to know his future husband, King Peter.

Stiles wanted nothing to do with this. He had told his father that this was a horrible idea, that he would somehow screw it up, that they would be at war once again, and the humans would lose their crown prince. Stiles was pretty sure that his country’s morale couldn't take that kind of hit. But his father would near nothing of Stiles’ protests and sent his heir on his way advising Stiles to behave himself.

So it had been decided and Stiles was sent to live with the werewolves as an offer of peace. While he wanted peace he didn't want any part of this. He had heard rumors about King Peter, how vicious and evil he was, and Stiles wanted nothing to do with him.

So when his carriage with a full arm guard of humans came to a stop at the entry of palace and when they opened the door to let the crown prince out nothing happened. Stiles didn't step out, he didn't move from his spot from inside the carriage. He did peak out the window trying to see the King but other than that he stayed put.

"Sir, you need to come out and greet the King and his court properly," his adviser that Stiles’ father sent with him told the prince from his place outside the carriage door.

"No. If he wants to be greeted he can come here." Childish, yes, but Stiles didn't care.
