There is a first time for everything, after all, and they say you never forget your first.

First Kiss: Is there anything sweeter?

First Date: Are you super awkward and nervous or getting on like a house on fire?

First Anniversary: You've made it an entire year without killing one another! Time to break open the bubbly.

[ Ever since Vought started to pay for space vacations to keep the supes happy, Maeve has been exploring it more and more. This time, she happens to walk into a cantina and sees a striking blonde sitting at a bar.

It's been a long time since she's felt like this, since she felt what she did for Elena. But, looking at this woman before her, she swears it's love at first sight.

She's nervous at first, but then shows up behind her, trying to play it cool. All she does is try to get the attention of the bartender, but it seems as if they don't speak English or even any Earth language. ]

Uh, hello? Does anyone here speak... Earth?

[Essa is no fool. She may look unassuming, but she's been taught by the best - her parents - and is very well aware of her surroundings, the people that inhabit it, and all exits available in case something goes south.

The drink does little to dull her senses, and she doesn't need to turn around to feel another's presence behind her, and although there's no prickling sense of danger, Essa surreptitiously places her hand on the blaster strapped to her thigh, just in case.

She huffs out a breath as the newcomer - the woman - speaks, and the bartender doesn't even acknowledge hearing her question. She glances over her shoulder, arching an eyebrow wryly.]

It's Basic, what you're speaking. And he damn well does understand, he's just not big on customer service. But he's going to get the lady a drink, isn't he?

[The bartender looks up, lips curling into the approximation of a smile, gesturing the woman forward.]
