There is nothing about Brock Rumlow that would suggest he's an art guy, and he'd be among the first to admit that he isn't. He can appreciate some of it but wouldn't go out of his way to expose himself to it. Steve had probably known or at least assumed that the first time he asked Brock to go to an exhibit with him. Simply to reward the effort of going beyond assumption, Brock had said yes. It hadn't been his thing, but Brock hadn't minded. Liked Steve enough to not mind standing in front of blotches of paint on canvas which meant nothing to him.

This time it's less accidental than it is intentional. Rumlow has more or less given Steve carte blanche to take him to whatever gallery, museum, art event he wanted. Brock has dressed up a little, going for the look that Jack lovingly calls European-gay, made sure his hair looks extra perky, and is happy to follow Steve around.

Somewhere between a painting in a gold frame and a sculpture of an adorably ugly little man, he'd slipped his hand into Steve's, confident that nobody is dumb or suicidal enough to say anything even if it bothers them.

"Thought you said something about Russian eggs. Or was that another event?"

Castiel knew when Dean arrived. Time worked different in Heaven but he knew immediately when the man's soul came home. It was as though a shift happened in the magnetic fields and Castiel's head continuously oriented toward where he should be. And yet he waited. How long he waited was impossible to say, but he still waited before making his presence known. After all, the last time they had spoken, much had been both said and unsaid between them. Even here with literally nothing to lose, Castiel couldn't help but feel uneasy. Worried, almost, about throwing himself back in front of the man he loved so desperately. But there was no reason to wait. They had eternity, here. Eventually he would go and see him. Waiting was just putting off the inevitable.

So he finally went to see him. Fortunately, Dean wouldn't likely have a concept of how long Cas had delayed. Still, the man had always been able to see through him; Castiel was queasily sure this would be no different. Still, he went.

Dean was driving. He watched for awhile, just enjoying the peace that came from the entire scene. If anyone deserved it, it was Dean Winchester. He smiled and finally focused on the seat beside his friend, willing himself into it as he so often had when his wings were intact. In seconds he went from being an observer of the drive to a passenger. Thankfully, if this startled Dean, there was no consequences to a crash.

He reached out, fingertips searching as they touched the back of Dean's hand for the first time in what felt like millennia. Warm. Warm and solid as he'd ever been. Castiel's heart soared.

"Hello, Dean..."

[ the thing is, ronan isn't a big pda person, and neither is adam, although probably for different reasons. and just.. well. it's the south, it's the rural south, and while ronan would sooner knock some redneck teeth in than hide who he is, he's also not going to risk someone trying to use violence on adam. his boyfriend's seen more than enough of that in his life.

still, when ronan rounds the grains and pasta aisle in the grocery store to see someone from the trailer park possibly giving adam a hard time, ronan quickens his pace. he stops at the other teen's side, hand quickly sliding into his, using his height to his full advantage on the stranger. he squeezes the fingers laced with his reassuringly, thumb stroking the other boy's. ]
