hurt/comfort smut; meme Bruised. Beaten. Stabbed. Sapped of energy. Tricked. Mentally played and abused. Perhaps you've even seen your home world destroyed, depending on how Homestuck you are. Any way you slice it, characters go through a lot of crap. There's nothing wrong with wanting to see them get pampered and taken care of when they're ailing. In canon, they may not have someone who can provide them with care when they're injured, support and love when they're sick, and physical intimacy all around. In this post, AU or other scenarios can provide them with a caretaking partner of their very own (or, maybe, someone to take care of, if the reverse is their preference). So, for once, weary traveler, you don't have to carry that weight all by yourself.

to bring you out of the darkness; The injury may not be a temporary physical or mental one, however. Some characters suffer more deeply, even if they don't know it. Darkness covers their hearts, they're withdrawn, insecure, angry, or lonely. They need someone to reach out to them and show them unconditional love. This post can provide that, too. Whether it be the cliche and shameless "changed by your love" trope or something more subtle like getting someone to open up, the characters here can offer that and more. Typing out the text is harder than it should, but his hands are shaking. It's afternoon and far later than Lucas wanted to try to check on his friend, but he'd dragged himself back to his apartment after his first fuck up of the day and curled up asleep when pure exhaustion won out.

Now he's pretty much to Matthew's place while trying to ignore the dull pain in his left arm where he'd been bitten, hiding it under a well-worn hoodie and gauze. That was his own fault, but Lucas couldn't worry about it now. Matthew's current state, whatever it might be, is where his worry is focused.

( A fucking red shirt was the equivalent of the asshole who carried the flag into battle. It marked the person as an easy target. Everyone knew that, she knew that. At least, and this is a big at least she wasn't wearing a fucking red dress. Sure, there were various options for styles of the appropriate uniform to their rank, but that the dress was even a fucking option blew Ellie's mind.

With the sort of work they did on the ship, the missions they attended to off the ship, and everything in between did not make that short ass dress a viable option for her. To each their own, she just didn't see the point of it for herself. Nyota Uhura, well, that was a different fucking point altogether, Ellie got that. Loathed as she was to admit it, she and Kirk saw eye to eye on that particular business. She could tell by those stolen glances Uhura's way, ones that may or may not have to do with Spock concerning Uhura or in Spock's relation to Kirk. Either way, that red dress was a damn target on a very - very - dry ship.

Space was a weird fucking place to be, especially in such a small ship - that just kept getting smaller and smaller. The last few years have been a bit of a complicated mess for Ellie, personally. There was a great upset with Joel, and she couldn't figure out how to smooth that one over. Despite having very vocal and adamant feelings for being "done" with the old man, her feelings began to disseminate and reconstruct back to those good old original feelings for the man who chose Ellie over the world.

It was no surprise they ended up working on a Starfleet, being refugees from a disease-ridden world to which there was no cure. For years, Joel and Ellie struggled their way through their home planet before they came onto the USS Enterprise. The how, where, when, and why wasn't so much as important at first. There were a few others from their origin planet that came along with them, but it only mattered to Ellie that Joel was there.

Along with many others, both of them began their training to be useful inhabitants on the ship. Some took to the medical field, research, engineering. Joel and Ellie took to combat. It wasn't until she was on board the vessel that she discovered the truth of what Joel had decided back on their world. That the lives of many were insignificant to her one, she rebelled by taking on an officer's position. He followed her into the field to cultivate his protective obsessiveness of her. They grew apart, but their experience would never allow for Ellie to be comfortable with that.

The mission was simple; she and many other red-shirts were going to accompany the higher-ranking officers to an unestablished planet (a slang term for planets that have not yet been recorded with the Federation). They had arranged to meet with an ambassador of the seemingly well advanced technological world - and somewhere on the way from their transportation location to the destined place, they were ambushed by Klingons. No one expected it, and no one saw it coming. Chaos ensued and their diplomatic party dispursed in the violence. One by one, those red-shirts dropped - as expected, as they were the first line of defense.

At most, the battle was a quick ten minutes, but the agony and stress of the experience made it feel like Ellie was fighting to survive for hours. Instead of terror for herself, her fear was for Joel - and she called for him again and again.

Even after she watches him die, she continued to scream for him, taking blows from their attackers and eventually being knocked unconscious. What events happened afterward would be lost to her until she comes to about ten minutes later. She doesn't know if she's the only one left alive; all Ellie knows is that she has to make her way to Joel.

She drags her broken body, scrapped, torn, bleeding, and weak across the ground to where Joel's lifeless body waits. She ins inconsolable and tries her communicator to reach the USS Enterprise, hoping the ship was not attacked as well - or if it was, the vessel survived and killed every last one of those fuckers. )

USS-Enterprise, Ellie Williams - NCC-1701 operations ... ( She coughs into the transmitter, blood splashes across the device and back onto her cheeks. Fucking fuck this fucking title. ) Klingons! Klingons did this!! They...

( Her head swells and she passes out onto Joel. )
