But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

i. Scenarios ① kidnapped for ransom - everyone wants to make a quick buck. and what quicker way is there than ransoming someones life. Not that everything always goes to plan. Let's just hope that everyone comes out alive and happy. ② kidnapped for revenge - Someone was on the wrong side. Maybe it's the significant other of an Ex. Maybe it's the Ex themselves. Or perhaps it's even more complicated than that. Either way, there's nothing sweeter. ③ cracknapping - Okay, so you didn't mean to drink that much, but now you have woken up in a room with a bunch of mascots from the game and what is going on? ④ kidnapped for help - We need you help. Whether you're willingly up to offer it or not. ⑤ kidnapped for their own good - Want to get you out of a bad situation. It's for your own good. Trust us. You're safe now, you won't be hurt any more. ⑥accidental kidnapping - okay. so this wasn't... exactly what was planned. But looks like we've got an extra person now. W H O O P S ??? ⑦ wildcard - Anyway you want it. ii. relationship ① kidnapper and kidnapee - The prize and the thief, what better combination? ② kidnapee and rescuer - Don't worry, they're here to save you. ③kidnapees! - Well. Stuck together. This is a good bonding moment. ④ kidnappers anonymous - All of you need to get together and feel bad about yourselves. ⑤ wild card - That's the way you need it

Rumlow disappears on a rainy Tuesday somewhere near the arse end of central Europe. Steve doesn't learn about it until a week later when he returns from a too-long-too-failed mission from the middle of nowhere in central America, and when he does it's almost in passing. A by the way 'Commander Rumlow was killed in action' and that's it.

Rollins tells a different story, raging at Steve from behind bars, put there because he and a couple of other STRIKE members have tried to go back and find their fearless leader. Pierce and Fury are happy doing nothing because the tracker indicated all vital signs had gone flat, so confident that their state-of-the-art tracking devices couldn't be dug out and planted in a corpse.

By the time Steve finally has a proper lead, Rumlow has been missing for almost four weeks. Rollins and another handful of STRIKE members go with him. They don't know what they'll find but Rumlow had better be alive. Then again, it's not as if the group around Steve plans on taking prisoners alive.

Peter hated being in these kinds of situations. It really put a damper on his time, you know? The boy struggled to free himself from the binds around his body that kept him strapped to the pillar.

"Hello?" Peter called into the darkness. "Anyone? I've really gotta get home before I get grounded, so...can you please just let me go so I can beat you up and get home? Plus, I've got a lot of homework since the winter break is coming up...and it's really cold in here. Is there some way you could at least turn the heat up?"

Peter was getting nervous as he was met with silence. And then, the tapping of shoes came from down the hall. "Finally," Peter sighed and laid his head back on the pillar.

Ganymede woke up groggy and feeling vaguely disgusting, like there was a thin film of something covering him from head to toe. Nothing visible, and he had no specific memory that might explain it, but waking up tied up and in unfamiliar surroundings should be more than enough reason, honestly.

What he didn't expect was to wake up with someone he recognized in the same room.

"... Lady Persephone?"

She, in comparison to the very regular and obviously serviceable rope around his wrists, was tied up in chains. Golden ones. Ganymede hoped they were more show than substance, that whoever did this - he could only scrape up some vague memory image of two figures, features indistinct - didn't know what they were doing. That'd be nice, if so.

Not that he felt much reason to be afraid (yet, anyway), considering rescue was undoubtedly not far away. It would just be nice if the need for a rescue might be pre-empted.
