[Of all the people she should be with, John isn't the one she thought she would be with. The X-Men are lying low, waiting to see what Striker has up his sleeves, mostly to the dismay of Wolverine who just wants to get at them already. Marie doesn't know how she feels. Of course she isn't pleased with everything that's happened the last twenty four hours, but they could be only God knows where.

She was kidnapped once, and that was enough.

Bobby's asleep, but she can't. It's not cold out, but the fire is still burning. Something tells her that's more John's doing though. She stays pretty quiet until she turns to look at him. Part of her wants to ask how she thinks tomorrow is going to go. But it's not like Logan or Storm will let them suit up. So she stays quiet. Probably not best to talk about fire either.]

[She's leaving him and the castle in the morning. She already has her way out when Robin comes to steal from the Sheriff. Then the Night Watchman can take her place with Robin's men. It's the only thing that manages to keep her smiling through dinner. She stands halfway through the Sheriff's horrid joke and announces that she's going to retire early.

She leaves then, heading back toward her room. With her father dead there is nothing here she wants, and she needs her sleep for such a day tomorrow.]

(Tony had never been a heavy sleeper to begin with, unless he had run himself into exhaustion with overwork. It had only gotten worse since Afghanistan and nightmares, and really, at this point he was quite happy with a few hours. Every few weeks he'd crash and sleep for twelve, but it was a good cycle. It worked for him. He got a lot of work done he wouldn't have normally that way.

It wasn't quite that now. There was a jittery sense of anticipation that bubbled inside him, keeping him in his workshop making tweaks on the suit, until his coffee cup had gone cold, and he made to wander up into the kitchen to refresh it.

He wasn't exactly surprised to see Steve there, hell, he wouldn't have been surprised to see the lot of them there, but part of him was pleased they all weren't. He was still adjusting to the whole team dynamic thing, and it was still best served in small doses. How do you friendship and whatnot. He dumped the cold coffee in the sink before sticking the cup under the maker, fiddling a bit before pressing the start button, and turning his attention to Rogers as it started to whirr into action.) You wanna order a pizza or something?
