[ It's not a vacation, exactly, but it's the closest thing to one they've had in a while.

They'd temporarily closed the shop and booked a flight some place north. Rune isn't particularly happy about that, and still, he tolerates it to spend some time away from a city that seems to be swallowing pieces of him by the limb as the years pass. It's late when they arrive, the weather abysmal and cold. He doesn't complain, only frowns at their limited accommodations in some village off the coast of the shoreline and electricity flickering whenever the wind blows too hard. It's almost quaint, in a way. It reminds him of a lot more than he's ever wanted to think about.

And it's some time in the early hours of the morning that he wakes to the outside shutters banging against stone, Ciro's warmth soaking into him. There had been one bed to sleep in—not an issue since they've done this before. But what Rune hasn't done is initiate any sort of contact, rolling over and draping Ciro's arm over him so he can press his face into his shoulder. He's only half-asleep, but the storm brewing overhead is enough to lull him into a sort of trance that has his mouth at Ciro's ear. ]

Whatever it is – something isn't happy we're here.

[The headmaster had loudly announced this situation as a "team-building exercise" for this year's prefects. Idia knew better. Idia knew immediately that this sort of thing was a deathtrap for him, an anti-social nerd. At best, it would be awkward and forgettable. At worst? His social life dead, him dead, everyone de- actually, well, if everyone was dead then at least no stories would make it back. That was an alright ending, probably.]

[but there are not single rooms. And, to his utmost horror, the room they've been presented with to share, has only one bed.]

[If Idia had to rank his fellow prefects by their scariness levels, Leona was actually fairly low- in that he rarely went out of his way to antagonize him so long as he kept out of the way. Now, though? Now, wasn't he clearly in the way!? Why did they have to draw lots for rooms! At least if it was Azul they could play cards for the bed or something...!]
