Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... So she's overdone it a bit. Maybe the candles and scented bubble bath are a little too much. But she's missed him, and he deserves to be spoiled as much as she can give.

So here they are in her oversized bathtub, water filled to the brim, and she's sitting behind him massaging his shoulders. She encourages him to lean back and relax, her legs wrapping around his waist to rest gently on his thighs.

"You've been working entirely too much."

Some might think she's overdone it, but honestly, it'd been an incredibly sweet surprise to come home to. It's like those nights where he surprises her with a home-cooked meal and far too many choices because he'd wanted to ensure she got anything she might crave for dinner. Sure it seemed like a lot, but it came from a place of love and wanting to do right by each other.

And truthfully, sinking into the water and the feel of her fingers working out the tension from the day has his eyes close as he leans back like she wants with a happy groan. His hands tease along her legs where they wrap around him, enjoying just being wrapped up in her and having them be tangled together like this. "Luckily I've asked for a week of vacation. I was thinking, pending your schedule, maybe we see if we can just get away. Find a beach or an ice hotel and just spend some dedicated us time."

"Mm, that sounds nice. Will they give you that much time off?" Asking for vacation is one thing; being given it is another. She works her thumb into a particularly stubborn knot between his shoulders.

"I vote for the beach, and a room facing the ocean. That way wen we can stay in bed the whole time, we can leave the door to the balcony open and listen to the waves." She slips her arms under his and hugs him gently, hands not so subtly fondling his beautifully sculpted stomach.

"Though if we actually go swimming, I'll have an excuse to buy a new bikini..."
