WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
1. For the good of humanity. The ends justify the means - you only have their greater interests at heart, and you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty.
2. For someone I care about. There is nothing you won't do for your loved ones, and you won't let anyone stop you from proving it.
3. For myself. Screw everyone else. Your first priority is yourself, and if anyone doesn't like it, who cares? They're expendable.
4. For the reward. Some things are worth making a few enemies. Or a hundred.
5. For revenge. Watch out, world - you've got an origin story and a score to settle.
6. For the lulz. Hey, everybody's got a talent. Being the bad guy is pretty liberating, after all.
7. For the hell of it. No matter your motivations, everyone sees you as the villain. Might as well lean into it a little bit.

A loud blast of the sentry's horn heralds her arrival through the gates of Castle Black, a hooded figure in a russet fur cloak atop a black mount, with a bow and a quiver full of arrows strapped across her back. She has no guards save for a large wolf trailing closely behind her, and no marks of her station other than a silver direwolf pin. She dismounts from her horse without a word, ignoring the men demanding to know who she was and what she wanted, and when one of them gets too close, her wolf growls and bares her teeth in warning.

She pulls her hood back, revealing a head of brown hair tied up into a high ponytail, a gaunt face, and brown eyes the color of brandy — the color of distilled rage. She stands there with the air of nobility but with the posture of a warrior, even as she seems to be too thin and bony to be able to actually put up a fight. She glances up at the Wall, almost thoughtfully, before she turns to the men who'd just come out to the courtyard to meet her, scanning for a familiar face; her eyes end up resting on the giant, distracted for a moment by his red hair.
