[Alexander and Eliza had a decent idea of what type of relationship they were both getting themselves into, a relationship that usually kept them seperated due to his line of work. He was constantly traveling around the world and he had developed the habit of leaving at the drop of a hat whenever he was needed. His demanding, stressful schedule had placed a strain on their relationship but the two managed.

He had missed countless dates they had planned and had shown up late to several. His sweet Eliza always offered her forgiveness and fully understood how committed Hamilton was to the job.

Only this particular occassion was one Alexander vowed he would never miss despite his works demands. Their one year anniversary had came quickly, a little too quickly while he was away on business. He had planned to be back on their anniversary day but like always the job kept him a little longer, then the to make the situation worse his flight was delayed due to weather. He had informed Eliza about the unfortant news and to his dismay it had sparked a tiny argument. One the had left him flustered and feeling extremely guilty, he could still hear the disappointment in Eliza's voice as he finally bored a plane home.

He had shattered her heart. He could hear it dancing along her lips.

Once he finally arrived back in New York in had fallen late into the night, he did not expect Eliza to wait up for him nor did he expect it. He was both careful and quit upon returning to their fancy apartment, gentle when he unlocked the door and slipped in. Both silence and darkness greeted him unforgivingly.]
