It was date night when Edward turned up at Jonathan's run-down excuse for a haunted house, a garment bag over one arm, a shoebox tucked under the other and a green satchel slung over his shoulder. Stopping at the door he considered knocking - Jon should be expecting him tonight - before rearranging his burdens and pulling out his lockpicks. A minute later he was letting himself in, humming cheerfully as he made his way to the main room.

"Jon?" He laid the garment bag containing one of the new suits from his tailor out over a chair, setting the shoebox on the floor beside it with the satchel carrying matching cufflinks, tie and other accessories and grooming items on top. "Jon, don't make me come down into the basement and drag you out, we don't have time." He had a strict schedule planned out and it didn't include wrangling the beast from his lair.
