[ She's meditating when she feels it, that slight pull somewhere in the back of her senses, a sensation that tends to signal the opening of their connection. Or at least that the desire to open it is there. While there was a time Brianna had tried to ignore it, or fight it, in a way it's a welcome sensation now (at least not when she's in the middle of something). Welcome because it's a reminder that she isn't as alone as she's used to feeling, a reminder that someone does want her around.

Brianna shifts her focus without issue and allows herself to answer that 'call' she feels, directing energy toward their connection to more easily open it. Off the top of her head she can't recall what the other woman's plans were that day, or if she'd been told at all, though Rey did tend to keep her informed regardless of what the others said or thought. She does presume at least it's not an emergency since she doesn't feel that sort of energy in the Force. There's a warmth, if anything.

As visuals take shape she starts to say something only for her voice to catch in her throat when she finally lays eyes on the younger woman — on a lot of her, in fact. Brianna swallows thickly, able now to place that warmth she'd picked up on, and her gaze shifts away briefly before almost immediately returning. And after another moment she clears her throat, a little louder than perhaps necessary, wondering if this was intentional on Rey's part or if they're about to have one of their little disagreements. ]

It had been a long week. Carol and Poe had been pulled in so many directions, sent on so many missions, and they hadn't been able to really connect more than a couple quick words or kisses in between the running from one thing to another. It's the life they signed up for, but it doesn't mean she doesn't miss spending some time with Poe.

When her last mission wraps up a little early, Carol gets word from Jess that Poe was also back early. So she beelines it to their quarters. She can hear Poe when she gets in the door, but it quickly dawns on her what's happening. She considers leaving for a little bit to let him finish, but if their positions were reversed, she would much rather he interrupt her.
