[Want a thing with a powerful villain/antihero (a space-pirate in his home setting but this can be AU'd into a seagoing pirate) who's not exactly evil but ends up on the wrong side of heroes a lot? He's not really at all morose about his delinquent behavior, but he is pretty tsundere about actually admitting to having nice soft feelings about people.]

It wasn't the first time Midnight had arrived to interfere with a heist. In fact, it had become kind of a thing, and while Takeo had learned to take her into account in his plans, she was more that capable of adapting, as well. She'd been distracting enough to begin with, but where some other heroine might have been scandalized by his unabashed flirtation, she'd risen to the occasion. It was just a lot of good fun, at first, when she was just sexy and dropped innuendoes to match his own, but she'd started making it personal--she knew he had a weak spot for her sex appeal, and then she'd go and be all tender and affectionate.

He'd scoffed and brushed it off playfully, at first, but she'd been persistent. Worse yet, he almost had to admit it was actually have an effect on him. Flirting and flings were one thing, but there were times he caught himself actually glad she showed up in spite of the inconvenience to his plans. This was a new low, though; he'd gone out to case the site of a heist he was planning, but taking the scenic route, he'd let himself wind up where he knew she'd be likely to patrol.

He knew better than to get tangled up with someone with heroic sensibilities, to start worrying about her opinion of him, to want more than a bit of fun, but for the moment, at least, he couldn't help himself.

There was a reason that she had been selected to apprehend him. The police's file on him showed that he was a womanizer, with a list of flings as long as his arm - and who better to break the streak than the dominatrix that was the R18 Only Hero, Midnight? The objective was to have him grovel at her feet until she had him wrapped around her finger... and ready to be hauled off to jail.

Nemuri had a few tricks up her sleeve to achieve the desired effect, and her encounters with him had revealed that he was particularly affection-starved. And Nemuri, being the softie that she was... Well, she did find herself feeling sorry for him. She was of the belief that criminals were victims of upbringing, and while she'd never asked him about his, it was likely that all he'd needed growing up was some affection.

That wasn't to say that she still wasn't going to make him pay for his crimes. For every action, there was an equal and opposite reaction. However, seeing who he truly was put things into perspective.

She was waiting for him at a secluded clifftop overlooking the sea, where she'd heard he would dock next. They'd been at this game of cat and mouse for months, and perhaps it was time to start the final act.

Whatever plans she might have had, of course, the pirate had no particular intention of being captured easily--whether by the law or by a more dangerous sort of snare. She might well be causing "stirrings," but that didn't mean there was no way he could throw her off her game. Finding her not only there but seemingly waiting for him, he made the sort of entrance he liked best: appearing suddenly behind her in order to slip his arms about her waist. The smirk was obvious in his voice as he leaned over her shoulder to speak just beside her ear in a hushed, intimate tone, his breath warm on her neck.

"Waiting for someone, beautiful? Or is the fantastic view just for my benefit?"

Knowing his penchant for innuendo, he probably didn't really mean the view from the cliffs so much as his view over her shoulder.
