Demons may be common around these parts... but they don't usually come into a Tyrant's home and make themselves comfortable. Nevertheless, there is a small, black creature doing just that.

At the moment, it's asleep, curled up on a pillow yanked (using teeth, by the holes in it) from a nearby chair. Its tails are twitching uneasily, legs scratching at the floor as it chases its dream quarry. It's said that one should let sleeping dogs lie... but whether foxes count isn't established.

Kalinda comes awake slowly. Her body aches, her muscles tired and sore. As she wakes up more fully she starts to notice sharper pains -- like cuts and scrapes -- one high up on her shoulder, another near her wrist and more on her legs. She swallows thickly. Her mouth tastes strange, her teeth dirty. She's lying on something cold and hard. The ground? She pushes herself up until she's sitting, the world lurches and her stomach roils. She's naked. What the hell is going on?

The sun is barely up and the world is still bathed in that greyish pre-dawn light. She turns to search for her clothes and that's when she sees him. A naked man lain out beside her. His back is to her, she can see it rising and falling as he breathes.

[Really, how could the cheery Molly Hooper be anything BUT a fairy? Well, a fairy of the Light, that is. Darker fae existed as well, but she'd always steered clear of them. Maybe that was part of the problem; she was a bit of a 'weird' fairy; she liked learning about humans, watching them, rather than playing pranks. She tried, of course, but she was rubbish at it.

With a heavy sigh, Molly seated herself upon the low branch of a tree, her legs hanging so that her toes barely touched the flowers below. She wasn't a tiny fairy, just an average-sized one. Were it not for the fact that she was humming an alluring fae tune, she wouldn't look like anything special. She certainly didn't feel it, anyway.]

[Envy hated leaving the water. He didn't understand what was so great about the world above. Actually, all those disgusting humans infesting the Land pretty much took away every last drop of good opinion he had for it. He preferred the comfort of the open sea where he didn't have to worry about being judged or ridiculed.

It wasn't like there was anything really wrong with him. He just wasn't as... presentable as the other merpeople. The scar on his face was both a blessing and a curse. After all, it contributed to the high number of kills he made in a year. Not that that was something to boast about. He simply enjoyed decreasing the human population. There was way too many of them and someone had to do something about it, right?

Plus, it was just really, really fun. Kind of like a neat, little game. When he changed into a human, he was able to hide his deformity and, since he was gifted with androgyny, it put him that much more at an advantage. It didn’t matter whether it was man or woman – they'd never see it coming. He doubted they ever will. Why? Because humans were a foolish lot. They were so easy to lure. It was almost pitiable.

Of course, today, he wasn’t much in the mood to indulge in his favorite pastime. He wanted to just relax. It’d been a while since he’d last gotten time to himself, away from his… kins. Emerging from the depths of the ocean, he found a boulder near a beach, planting his arms on top of the rough surface. The sun was bright, high up in the sky spreading its warm embrace. He couldn’t help but enjoy the feeling. It was admittedly nice and nicer yet because he was certain nothing could possibly disrupt him.]

He had been aware that there was a werewolf around. Known it. Sensed it, if you were inclined to use a term such as that. Werewolves... They tended to be... Stressful to have around. They were loud, bothersome, usually smelled of wet dog and had that unhealthy habit of hating vampires. Which, in a way, was quite mutual. So it was just natural for a vampire and a werewolf to not seek one another out unless they were out for a fight.

Yes. Ludwig had been aware of the presence of a werewolf from the moment he set foot in this city. But... He hadn't expected this.

Seriously. It was like looking at a strangely warped version of himself. Very warped. And just what was that mutt doing there between those trees anyway? Had he even noticed the vampire on the other side of the street yet that felt rooted to the spot and bound to stare dumbfoundedly at his surreal twin?
